Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it 😊 I’m a fan of a capo sometimes. It’s a nice change to how the guitar feels to play. Something refreshing about it every now and then. Enjoy! 👍🎸

@@jobywaterguitartuition Is it a 214ce ?
@jobywaterguitartuition14 күн бұрын
It is. Sounds lush. Warm but with real clarity. I was blown away the first time I played it. It was my first all wooden body guitar and it was a really noticeable difference 👌
@barrywuthrich853015 күн бұрын
Looks pretty accurate. I have always played it E7sus to E7 instead of Esus to E. The open D string sounds better to me. And pretty important that every other chord change is on the up beat and not the down beat as Jo said. The exception is the F in measure 4 does fall on the down beat of 3.

Hello Jo! I was looking for some tips for playing 'Stand by me' and your video came to me. I've just gone around your channel, pretty cool ! I was wondering which brand/model is your guitar. It seemed to be a Taylor, but I cpouldn't see any video in your channel talking about your instrumment. I'm willing to buy a new guitar and started looking at Taylor and Martin guitars. I'm from Brazil and unfortunatelly we don't have official ressellers of these brands, so, looking at KZbin videos help me to get to know the different models of Taylor and Martin. Do you have a video in which you talk about your instrumment ? If not, could you please tell me the brand/model of it ? Thank you and keep on recording your videos. Your channel is pretty cool ! ;-)

Hey 😊👌 thanks for your message! Really happy you’re enjoying the lessons My Taylor is a 214ce. It’s a really excellent guitar. Warm sound, resonates lovely, clear individual notes. Really effortless and smooth to play. I like this guitar a lot and would recommend as a decent acoustic. I play it with 12 gauge Elixir strings. Nice combo. I don’t have a video where I talk about it but I’m happy to answer any questions you have 👍

@@jobywaterguitartuition Hi, Jo ! Thank you for answer. It was was very kind from you. I've just seen it at Amazon for about USD 1,300/1,400 . But look how terrible is for us, Brazilians: when I selected it to be delivered in my address (Brazil), it doubles the price because Amazon adds import taxes. It's insane. Anyway, I'm willing to the US by the end of the year to buy the guitar, it'll be cheaper. I don't mean to abuse of your kindness, but if you couldgive me this info, it'd help me a lot: I think this model uses steel strings and I need a NYLON one. So, I'd like to know: which would be an intermediate NYLON model from Taylor and Martin ? And which would be the best NYLON model from Taylor and Martin ? And finally, for nylon models, would you reccommend, Taylor or Martin ?
@dawersonnvarca13 күн бұрын
I've just seen that Taylor has a nylon version for your model.
@jobywaterguitartuition13 күн бұрын
Wow, they really drive the price up ay! Sounds like a trip to the US will help. I honestly can’t recommend something I haven’t played so not sure on nylon models to tell you about. I would imagine if Taylor does a nylon string version of my model it will be excellent 👍 happy shopping!
