Just do what is easy for you. Non of the crochet pattern is wrong. Newbies are here pouring praises on your work and some might think that they've been doing there wrongly, whereas you did whats good for you.

My Grandma made hearts similar to this to give to Me Mothers & Mothers that had lost a child, she would go and get a clipping of their hair and put it in the heart, sometimes baby teeth,, sew it up and present it to them as Mothers Gifts or Memorials.

I had bought all this yarn two years ago, to make a couple of throw blankets for Christmas and just have never gotten around to doing it. I have seen a couple of designs for granny squares. I can't wait to get started. Thank you so much for your detailed video. 😊👍🏼

Wish I'd seen this earlier. I've just finished a throw with 48 granny squares containing a circle. The joins are very visible. I'll use this method next time. Thank you!

My grandmother had this superstition that if you give something sharp to a friend, like the pins in a pincushion, it will hurt the friendship. So she would always asked the recipients of such a gift for a small coin to turn the gift into a sell and ward off the evil. Or give it without any pins.

In our family we do the same with knifes, if you gift a knife you have to pay a coin, to buy off the misfortune or how you say that in English

Das hat man früher sehr ernst genommen .Man durfte weder Messer ,noch Schere noch Nadeln verschenken , alles was schneiden oder stechen kann .Dadurch würde die Freundschaft zerstört.

Is there any way you could talk and explain what to do as you are doing so a person knows how many stitches you start out with you used the size of hook and do forth. I'm for one not good at figuring out finger pointing and that looks cute.

They are doing a slip stitch and then chaining one. I don't think they speak English. You can try playing it in a slower speed if you need it.
