100 10.49 Florence Griffith Joyner (US) Indianapolis, Indiana 7/16/88 [T&FN believes the 10.49 race was illegally wind-aided and should never have been accepted as the WR. We believe the real fastest is 10.54 Elaine Thompson-Herah (Jamaica) Eugene, Oregon 8/21/21] Through to 1987 her 100 metres career had been prosaic; indeed going into 1988 she hadn't ranked among the top 10 in the world in the event and was rated only seventh among the Americans. The sudden musculature, acne, facial hair, deepened voice, jawline, and 0.47 second improvement in 1 year. Draw a conclusion. . . .

She’s also known for the gallons of steroids pumped through her body. There is a reason she died so young and that her record has not been beaten for decades even with the advancement training regimes and technology

Weingarten heads the teachers union. Teachers have delivered a whole 36% literacy level to our children. One of the lowest literacy levels of any 1st world nation. And it's not a matter of money, the United States spends far more on education than nearly all other countries in the world. Weingarten and the nations teachers have delivered a terrible performance and cannot be trusted.

Hate what's hate. It's a word in English language isn't there something that everyone hates? Or do you "honestly " get along with everyone

Why did you do nothing about the holocaust ( genocide) in Rwanda in 1993. Or how about the Irish holocaust thru starvation by the British 1847-1850

This is a sugar coating approach. I believe everyone in this meeting have worked with students and adults, there is no easy answer, but this webinar concluded nothing. Call it as what it is, confront cultures and groups of people who are fucking up for the rest of us.

What I think is missing from this discussion is this frame of mind that building upon best practices is "stealing". In other professions more esteemed than ours, building on effectiveness is looked at as being professional. We don't accuse doctors of "stealing" an idea or practice of how to place shunt or perform heart surgery. Teaching involves building a repertoire of practices and a command of the subject matter. It's no different than any other skilled profession.

Don't get me wrong, SR. I teach writing seminars throughout the year and I always start with what others have already taught. On that, I build and adapt, and people lap it up. I always give credit to the source but they still credit me for consolidating. And they learn. So yes, again, I like the idea. Just want to make it clear there's irony here. And P.S., not all teachers who steal from others do it because it's a good place to start. Some are just lazy.

because that's what teaching is, stealing good ideas from other teachers.

I think it's a great idea but, devil's advocate: Why does this make me think of those websites where college kids can download papers other people wrote?
