Cool vid yet again! I've never owned a jazz bass although I've played for 12 years.. 😆 My first bass (Epiphone Toby Standard IV) had the JJ configuration, though. Might need to give a proper J a go at some point!

Cool vid! 🙂At the moment I don't have any space for a head + cab system of my own (I have even sold my combos, haha) + can cope reasonably well with gigging ampless, but I still like to check out bass head videos every now and then. And because I am definitely going to buy a head at _some point_, it's good to have some knowledge of different options! This Ashdown one and the Katana-500 from Boss seem to be quite convincing, at least. Keep the content coming 🤟

Totally get the space thing. I went amp and small pedalboard, to just pedalboard rig and now I'm back to head, cab, pedalboard. I just prefer having a dedicated bass amp I can control for my own cab rather than sharing the PA with everyone else. Hopefully you can grab a amp again someday 🙌

It's a nice bass, but pretty pricey, considering that there are no premium features (bridge, those lollypop tuners and pickups are cheap) and it's MIM. For a short scale, the Squier Paranormal Rascal is really good and about 1/3 of the price. And the Sire U5 or U7.
@Hitch1612
@Hitch1612 2 ай бұрын
What are you on about? Tuners are £140 a set It’s nitro and also relic (time is money) Pickups are Seymour Duncan. Unless you’ve been living under a rock the last 5 years the price is average. I have a Rascal too. Yes it’s a great bass but you’re paying almost £400 now for a Squier

do you run only the torpedo DI or the normal Di as well for recording?

In this, I just use the torpedo because I like the cab Sims and wanted consistency. I have ran it at gigs as a DI with no cab sim and it also sounds great, but my preference is through the torpedo.
