these types of runs were somethign he took from Van Halen, who took them from Holdsworth. Notice the pattern is typically a half step, minor 3 or minor 3, half step. this comes from Messaien modes Holdsworth used.

So much Texas swagger and drawl in Dime’s playing!

You’re forgetting the importance of upstrokes in his riffs 😿

The aggressive upstroke even in the palm muting is a major part of his killer style!

Another awesome instalment man Really like the way you explain stuff. Cool looking guitar. Love the setup you got going on with the background art. I think I spotted Ozzy on your right. I reckon Randy Rhodes playing is fucking awesome as well I think Dime may have liked his playing too I know Zack wild loved Randy’s playing and Zack and Dime used to knock around together 🤘🔥⚡️🔥

@@TheKaindemonic78 I used to do stretches with my fingers kinda like doing stretches with all your other muscles...legs,arms etc. I like to think it helped a little for bigger stretches. Or just get really good at tapping or finding easier ways to hit different notes. Sometimes in metal you gotta do them crazy stretches to make it sound a certain way
