I should have explained it in the video but I prefer nine pillars over the zefra trap because Zebra Divine Strike is only active if you do the SHS combo and nine pillars works with all my other Denglong combos. Kaijus aren't really popular rn but it would make a good switch if tower decks like purrely dominate the meta again. As for why I run 2 Denglong, I explained it in the video but it's so that I have access to both SHS combo and Yazi-mare combos in longer games. I'll probably cut it when there's something good to replace it with but I think it's the best for this current meta. Yazi-mare is good for breaking boards with access to just Emergence and Taia.

I am too, can't wait to get my hands on them. They improve the decks ability to board break and play thru disruptions. We also got Yazi-mare combos back going first so that's a major win for me.

I think they made a big gamble on the idea I wouldn’t be able to get thru the chaos angel with 2 disruptions.

For that combo your goal is to get Taia in the GY so you can bring it back and make Yazi. You need all three monsters for the combo (Taia Mo ye and Longyuan) but emergence can substitute for one you don’t have and Chixiao can search another one if you already have summit. Always start with Mo Ye, either get it with ecclesia or emergence of you don’t have it. Summon it and going into Chixiao. Chixiao searches for whichever you don’t have Taia/ Longyuan/ Summit Use Emergence to search out the third monster you don’t have if you need to/ haven’t already used it. Longyuan send Taia to the GY, summon Baronne. Summit for Taia, banish a spell and summon Yazi. And the rest of the combo is in the video.

That’s awesome, losing Baronne really hurt this deck since we lost some of the good going first boards and nib protection. I’m still waiting on my Protos before I take mine back locals. What kind of list did you use?

Can’t say I know any routes that make light dark Chaofeng w/o Summit. I’ve found some more Chaofeng routes than this since I’ve posted it but they all include summit in one way or another. I’m running Summit because I think it’s a good card and it enables a lot more combos in the deck.

Then you won't need summit. -Use 2 mare mare tokens to make shaman. -Then make last mare mare token and use ashuna banish to get shthana out and make a chixiao with lvl 4 mare mare and search blackout. -Then use shaman to revive yazi and synchro with chiwen and mare mare token to make a light/dark lock chaofeng - you'll end with monster negate chixiao, two pops with blackout, potential baronne omni negate if they didn't open any hand traps and dark/light chaofeng. I got a lot of inspiration from your video and have been working on trying to maximize the combo.

@Mr_deez89 this is a nice find , don’t think I ever would’ve found it since I cut chiwen.

@@et3rnaldr4gongamez it's a standard swordsoul list just add chiwen and mare mare to limit the amount of bricks. Chiwen also chain blocks yazi when it gets popped.

I agree with that. The main reason why I uses SHS is because of hand advantage and I can end on chaofeng, chixiao and Protos.

I was messing around and I think I found it: Hand: Ashuna, Adhara/Shthana, Taia/Emergence SS (From Hand): Ashuna > Link Ashuna into Monk > SS (From Hand): Adhara/Shthana > Banish Ashuna > SS (From Deck): Adhara/Shthana > Sync into Denglong > Activate Emergence > Add Taia > NS: Taia > Banish Emergence (No Effect) > SS Token > Sync into Baxia with Taia + Token > Bury Suanni via Taia Effect > Revive Sunnai via Baxia (Pop Monk) > Sync into Chofeng via Suanni + Denglong

You can also use Circle to Tribute Monk, then Special Summon Suanni then Sync into Chofeng via Suanni and Denglong

The SHS engine is a good option too, I just don’t like how linear it is. I still need to do a video covering it, it’s good but it’s hard to like in Master Duel with the Maxx C mini game taking so much space in the deck

If you draw I think you could always set, pop, and then summon it out of the GY with Baronne in the standby phase. I could be wrong tho, I haven’t tried it myself yet and I’m at work rn.

Yeah, it's sort of a 3 card combo that ends on effectively Chixiao+3 vanillas. It's a play you can do, but it feels like it's not too much better than a Protos line behind Baronne.

No, he is treated as summoned from the GY so it will not count as being synchro summoned. He would also lose the effects if he was banished or flipped face down.

I’m not exactly sure what you mean but if you’re taking about what you need to start the combo then all you require is Emergence + Taia/Ecclesia or Longyuan + cost (search the one you don’t have).

Anyways, i just to try including yangzing to my albaz deck, after i already included swordsoul into it.

It’s the effect of all of the lvl 5 and lower non-tuner Yang Zing monsters, you can only activate it on your opponent’s turn either on summon or in response to another effect during the main and battle phases. Also set your responses on Master Duel to on if you want to react to anything with it.

I’m playing it with the lvl 6 Zefra YZ, Jiaotu the YZ lvl 2 tuner, and nine pillars

I should probably make an updated list soon but I’m actually only running Jiaotu and Suanni for Yang Zing monsters and in the main now, I feel like Chiwen doesn’t come up often enough as an extender to keep using in bo1. Tho imo mare mare is actually a pretty decent normal summon and nine pillars is free disruption.

@@et3rnaldr4gongamez I really like the Yang zings personally but Denglong is not good with SS. It’s too many cards that don’t make up an engine or help you extend effectively. You end up with a win more/ inconsistent list that also can die to just 1 maxx c ash or imperm and interruptions are already a weakness in SS. I’m trying a tighter list with 2 ofs for the SSs and tenyis but with gamma circle desires red reboot vessel chiwen mare desrudo that has way better test hands so you can actually play, resolve your effects, get into the extra deck and show them an untargettable light and dark chaofeng ha. I like the rivalry a lot more for the deck even though it’s super hard to fit it.

@joetam4750 If you got discord you should hmu on there, I’ve never had consistency issues with this version of Swordsoul unless I was going way over 40. I’ve never had problems playing through disruptions either and I haven’t cut any of the SwS cards or support that helps you play through disruptions like circle so it’s a non issue. Other than nine pillars it’s all wyrm monster so you never brick with your SwS monsters and everything plays thru Ashuna’s wyrm lock. You should always be extending whenever you make Denglong or at least eat some negates and the only reason it wouldn’t is if you’re not running cards to extend off it. Imo Denglong is kinda busted in SwS: on summon add a YZ card (a wyrm monster for your SwS cards or an almost unreactable Omni negate), once per turn foolish any wyrm monster (GY extension), summon a YZ when this card leaves the field (free body, likely a tuner for more extension). With your more consistent lines: It’s a tuner that can change its level so you should be playing thru at least imperm/ veiler going first. Adhara plus Mo ye also plays thru imperm with 1 to 2 disruptions if you can special summon Adhara first. Emergence & Taia is crazy going 1st or 2nd. There’s a lot of other hands too but I’ve posted too many videos to have to be going over them in comments.

Was actually going to make Chaofeng to force a turn 4 but I realized Sahasrara was a win con at the last moment.

Definitely a commitment but Swordsoul Trinity routes can shut down almost any 1 attribute with the right Yang zings.

It’s a good option if you want to play around Nibiru or climbing into synchro 8’s if you run a lvl 6 synchro in your extra. My main issue with it is that it doesn’t work too well with the Tenyis.

Yes, it’s considered as in the GY so it’s not treated as special summoned from the ED when you activate the effect. It works even if Denglong is banished as well. I’ve also done it on Master Duel plenty of times so it’s legal by Konami’s standards at least.

@@LordBratcurry np, this game is very confusing at times with rulings. This is a pretty consistent route in this deck so it’s good to have in your arsenal, I’ve even got another starter to upload for this route coming soon.
