As a 1450 Petrov playerI learned not to fall for this at like 900 elo. If you play someone who kicks your knight before taking on e4 your probably in some more theory than you will know so probably best to pin there knight and trade the queens.....e4 e5 nf3 nf6 nxfe5 d4 nf3 nxe4 qe2 qe7 nf6 qxe7 bxe7 and just play out the endgame.
