This sermon by the prophet lends itself to what is known as the "GAP Theory" but this theory is debunked by the Hebrew language itself. there is a conjunctive prefix (abjad) "waw" pronounced vav, which is used in front of verbs and nouns in the Hebrew script, when used in front of nouns they are known as a "vav-disjunction" or disjunctive prefix. The vav when used in front of consecutive verbs is known as the vav consecutive; which speaks to a set of linear events that reveal transformation from one state to another. When the vav is used in front of a noun as revealed in the beginning of verse two of Genesis one, the noun "earth" it interrupts the vav consecutive in verse two, which rules out any attempt to introduce the notion of inserting the idea of "became." The vav can never be translated to an English letter, thereby revealing there were no succession of events from a prior earth to the earth we live in today. Genesis chapter one verse one and two does not reveal a linear sequence of events (the hows). In other words, there can't be an after-state without the sequence of 'hows' resulting in the after-state. Moreover the English word "THE" at the beginning of chapter 2, is the definite article (meaning no other earth). The Hebrew language in Genesis chapter one and two has destroyed the gap theory. The prophet spoke in his series "Before Adam" about Lucifer, before it became to be known as satan, as light bringer, this in my opinion is misleading; there is a vast difference between light bringer and LIGHT BEARER. Light bearer speaks of bearing The Light (knowledge of God's Word), light bringer speaks to lucifer being a light on to itself; 2 Corinthians 11:14 "Transformed AS an angel of light" He also made reference to Job 38:4. The context decides the case, throughout Job chapter 38 God describes His creation as being born, as if His creation were a child; Job 38:7-9, and Job 38: 28-29. The language here is poetic, some, figurative also. Okay, leaving theory, moving to facts: The book of Genesis is silent on when God created the angels although one may beg to differ referencing Genesis 2:1, but we can see in Revelation chapter 12 that Lucifer and a third of the angels fell from their first estate. We know from Revelation 12 they were cast out from the presence of God reference verse 9 and cross-reference Genesis chapter 3.The book of Job was written around 6 BC, its the oldest book of the bible, it conveys prophetic utterances i.e.Job 38. Genesis was written around 400 BC. This is factual because God knows the end from the beginning; God isn't bound by time nor space. "The morning stars rejoiced and all the sons of God shouted for joy." Genesis is silent on the parenthesis of time that passed between chapter 2 and 3 . Concluding with truth: such sermons that seem to be merely a 'what if' research in the Letter, lends itself to erroneous knowledge rather than scriptural prudence .If it be true that there was an earth with families before Adam, to be spiritually poetic: how does that alter the price of bread; its a parable. Reveal the parable ;"the price of bread."...........?
