Appreciate it!! I still think more can come out of her still got a little airy restrictive sound to her despite the great tone behind it. I got a pair of Vibrants going to apply them in the Winter time in place of my last remaining resonators. Definitely will make a video on that. Very eager myself to see how that pans out.

the factory exhaust is fine. just delete the resonators for ~$300 and call it a day. no need to invest in expensive exhaust.

Does the M550i come with a speed limiter stock? I'm thinking about renting one on Turo after this but if it's locked to like 115, 130 until you tune it, that's a hard pass. Sounds beastly with the tune & exhaust. Perfect daily.

iirc its factory limited to 155 MPH. the fastest ive gone in my '18 M550i is 142. i can definitely say its not limited to 115/130.

Nice, its same motor in my 13 650ix. Stock they stuffed the motor with 445hp and 480tq. I have the Dinan tune but its getting an upgraded tune next month by a local speed shop to do the carbahn tune. These engines when done up right are fn beasts.

When you launch, let the boost build up a little before you let go of the brake peddle, It will launch a lot better. Wait like 3-5 seconds trust 🙏

I have a 2014 4 door LX. Im told that adding a better airflow intake, and an aftermarket exhaust will add a little extra HP. Im not into customizing cars, but I want to give this a little extra pep because Im not going to deny that it is fun to drive. Its just a weekend beater so I can give my truck a rest sometimes. But I had a couple questions. First, if I add on a different intake and exhaust, will I have to have them calibrated via computer so I can get the most out of it? And, im sorry if this sounds insulting, do they all have a throaty, or a weed wacker sound to them? I dont really like to draw attention, and I dont want to invite street racers at a stop light. Im new to any of this so please dont be an ass

yeah you technically should get a tune for it but the ration of horsepower dollar for the tune just isn’t gonna be worth it in the long run, could probably pull 3 horsepower out of the intake and 10-15 out of an exhaust but that’s not insane numbers
