The reason the animations seems "bad" is because the creator wanted to keep the show in a manga like format instead of making a full blown anime which is why it's mostly only key poses

Fun Fact: The mangaka specifically requested this type of animation style. This was to preserve the pacing--especially the gags, and original art style of the manga without dropping anything for the sake of budget.

This show has just the right balance of hardcore and wholesome softness that I need. I also love that it challenges traditional gender roles, especially in a country like Japan where the old ways are still prevalent.
