Wouldn't having a leash make it a bit safer, but then they probably have boat or jet ski support.

Great video. What's the best type of board for open ocean paddling? I'm relatively new to paddle boarding. But I have some goals of doing long distance, open ocean paddles. I know there are displacement hulls and planing hulls. What's better? Thanks!

The race was amazing, the paddling was superb, but all of that would be lost without your great three videos, thank you so much for putting all this together, and narrating it so well.
