Hi Bro, may I have a roaster system that you used in this video or any other idea you have for me, cause I’m interested on it. ??
@weelianocraft4 ай бұрын
Sure, just look for Larry Cotton's Wobble disc roaster on google, my roaster is inspired by his design. I also no longer use the steel paddles to agitate the beans - kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4mqiZ1vdtF2p7s . I recently modified the roaster again and you can search for it in Reddit under "Cyclonic Heat gun Wobble disc roaster. Excellent heat distribution and very even roasts!"

@weelianocraft4 ай бұрын
@@DreamWorld98 You mean the ideal roasting temperature? Green Coffee will start to burn beyond 235C onwards. Also you can drop the coffee at different temperatures for Medium to Dark roasts. Do a general search on coffee roasting temperatures and you should be able to find lots of information.

thank you brother, I have a question. For complex scene like tracking a vehicle in the middle of a road where other vehicles passing by. How do you auto camera tracker it? I got bad result in Blender so I'm thinking to switch to Nuke or 3dEqualizer.
@weelianocraft4 ай бұрын
You have to manually track stationary features I'm afraid. I once worked on a shot where there's smoke everywhere and I have to track though the smoke. At ILM where I used to work, we never use auto tracker because the human eye still beats any AI for tracking difficult shots. Its going to take a lot of time but at least it will solve better. @weelianocraft5 ай бұрын
@@X.4r3alThose are just a plane object primitive with 1 x 1 division and applied with a surface shader material for the image reference. I usually change the canvas of my image reference to a square then use the surface shader to map as a reference. The plane is already a square so there's no distortion to the reference.

@ShadeAKAhayate2 ай бұрын
You can use free Blender 3D if you need free software. It's rather decent and about as good as Maya in modelling. But if you want to get really serious, 3Ds Max is your tool for modelling. Its modifier stack is still unsurpassed (although still buggy and project-breaking at times).

Thank you ! it was really helpful! I still have a doubt about the process. Is there any way to import the distortion information of the lens? When you solve the tracking data in blender, you checked K1 and K2 parameter, but if have not consider it in davinci. if you do like that you are working in fusion with camera with an " undistorted tracker solution" on a cilp that is not taking in account this information. do you know any solution in order to copy this parameter on the clip in fusion? I hope is it clear enough. Thank you!
@weelianocraft10 ай бұрын
Hi Riccardo, yes it would be helpful to import the distortion data into Fusion, however when I did this 3 years ago, there wasn't any accurate way to get the correct values in. One way I can think of is to render out the lens corrected footage from Blender and use that for compositing instead.

Hi! Very great roaster big up! I want to build one but just wondering how do you controll the temp, and how many watts on the heat gun?😍
@weelianocraft10 ай бұрын
Hi Yousef! Although the heat gun comes with temperature controls, it is hard to control the temperature on the fly as the heat gun knob is on the flat surface under the stool frame. I just set a constant temperature and monitor the temperature rise. The heat gun is a cheap no name china made heat gun but it has worked very well for the past few years. It is rated at 2000W with 2 fan speeds and temperature range of 60C to 600C. I set the temperature to work at a constant 250- 260C. My 200gms of green beans will roast to City Plus between 9 and a half to 11 minutes, depending on the beans.
@LawrenceCotton10 ай бұрын
depends on the heat gun and how much it costs. i buy the cheapest Harbor Freight heat gun which has two temps. depending on ambient, i use both, starting with hot, then possibly switching back to somewhat less heat.

Once you baked or apply the constrained the camera, you can't update the points. You may have to delete the camera and create a new camera with the same name to re-solve.

It's around 180 degrees celsius, as the beans are dropped, the temperature will drop about 20 degrees and gradually rise to 220 degrees at the end of the 10 minute roast.

Hi I have since updated my roaster into the wobble disk version here - kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4mqiZ1vdtF2p7s. If you google for Larry Cotton's Wobble Disc roaster, there are many diagrams and pictures you can follow. Larry is active in the Reddit coffee roasters group, just search for wobble disc roaster there, he will be more than happy to share his plans and parts list with you.
@weelianocraft Жыл бұрын
Here's a old reply which contains some of the parts I used - @weelianocraft 1 year ago I used galvanized perforated steel band/strip ordered online, they are quite pliable and easy bend and cut with heavy snips. I also used a L shaped bracket for the JGY370 Worm Motor . The motor I got was a Micro DC Speed Reduction Motor High Torque Turbo Worm Gear D at 150RPM rated at 24V. I used M5 Nuts and Bolts to secure the motor bracket. I used smaller screws to secure the worm motor to the the bracket. You also need a coupling to connect to the rotating shaft and these are secured with worm screws. The motor speed is controlled with a 3V-24V DC Variable Voltage Motor speed controller. I pretty much ordered everything online, the online site I used is Shopee.sg . I am pretty sure you can get the equivalent items from Aliexpress, Amazon, ebay or a general search online.

What is the wobble disc made from? Or where did you buy it?
@weelianocraft Жыл бұрын
I cut it out from a Milo Tin container. It is a very thin sheet of steel and I have to trim it with metal snips. I guess a heavy pair of scissors can do the same thing. The metal disk is really thin, probably less than a millimeter.

Very clean an well paced tutorial. Great tips. Thanks for sharing. Do you have any tips for lile the logitechg402 and how to model this mouse? I think that one is tricky, since it is not symmetrical and has complex details. How would you approach this?
@weelianocraft Жыл бұрын
I guess you model it symmetrically first then when the base is done, use soft selection to tweak the shape to match the asymmetrical shape of the G402. Using the multicut tool to cut the details and gradually model those in. Ideally, if you can photoscan the actual mouse, you can use Blender to shrink wrap and Retopo model it.

Check out Sweet Maria's videos on the wobble disc heat gun roaster by Larry Cotton, I think he post details on how to build one. I'm now using the wobble disc method and it works great! 200gms of Green coffee in 9 to 10 minutes. Resulting in 150gms of roasted coffee.

That roast looks incredibly uniform, even better than a popcorn-popper method. Thank you for the video, I’ll have to try this!
@weelianocraft Жыл бұрын
Hi Walton, I have stopped using this method to roast my beans now as the roasting times are too long, unless you can get a toaster oven that goes beyond 250C degrees, then the beans are going to end up being baked. The preferred method I use now is the heat gun wobble disk method. I have to build the roaster but it gets 200 grams of green beans roasted in 11 minutes versus the 24 minutes in this toaster oven method.
