I also participated in many competitions in the Fireball class 40 years ago. My boat number was J10163. My home port was Abumizuri Port in Japan. Watching this video brought back many memories and moved me deeply. I'd like to thank the person who uploaded this.

Can you record this whole series mentioning the colour of the boat you are talking about? And slow the virtual speed down?

In the 60's I was introduced to Ian Proctor and began sailing a Proctor International Canoe . We did not have modern tech for speed , but I do recall passing water skiers ! How fast I really do not know , but it was a perfect balance of handling with the sliding seat and really fast sailing in the 60's and still is SO fast . My other sailing passion is the Thistle , thank you Sandy Douglas , which has always been a fast normal planning sailboat .

GP14 is high performance? That is an interesting story, I have never heard of that. Also boat for 500 pounds would require 10k investment to make it usable. I have two FDs and had quite a few before. Cheap boat means a lot of money to pump in (or effort) and you still have an old boat.

Nice. Im interested in a light weight single hand after year sailign two handed. Im very short so need a mast i can get in myself so i can be independent. I love racing so maybe a 5 and 6 rig would be suitable.
