haha I just want you know that you are dominating a VERY specific niche on youtube: playing the czech pirc as white you are basically the Mr. Beast of guys with mustaches who upload games of them playing the czech pirc as white. You are pretty much it… And I appreciate it! I have been learning the pirc and sort of shifted into the czech pirc and when I am learning a new opening I want to just play it with both sets of pieces to get as much as practice as possible with the ideas and positions. I was trying to keep an eye out for the time usage and the guy was quite consistently using around 10 sec per move each turn which also raises a few red flags. A bit suspicious but not much else you can do other than report and move on.
@mrpatzer5 ай бұрын
good point
@calebroberts78905 ай бұрын
My opinion: yes, pretty obvious something is up. But I doubt it is enough evidence. However, you did not force him to use engine level chess to come back, which he would have needed at the least from that position, had you performed at your usual level. In the future, think of it like this: keep your focus, play your best, and that will force cheaters to use impossibly good moves to come back from positions like that. This will get them banned and get your rating back! (no hate, I promise I tilt way more than you)

Sound advice. I let my emotions get the better of me in that game, that's on me.
@philonchess5 ай бұрын
The beginning of this game makes absolutely no sense and then for him to start playing the top best moves after that sounds an alarm - Rdd3 is the move that gives it away for me considering it’s the top move and it makes absolutely zero sense he should be finding that
@philonchess5 ай бұрын
I know Rdd3 stops the Bxf5 tactic but I really just don’t think it makes sense for his play to go from that horrible to that well, especially after a 2-3 minute break
@mrpatzer5 ай бұрын
yeah that rook lift felt "next level" to me too
@rakibul2010islam5 ай бұрын
I am also at this level and I also find it highly suspicious. If I am that much material down then I will also pause and think whether or not to continue but not for longer than 2 minutes for sure. But an user who needs to setup that position in their device will do for sure. I am not gonna judge the moves here because a lot of cheaters use low level engines. So, not all the moves are gonna be the top on the Stockfish's radar but will burn your clock and annoy you that's for sure. On top of that a new account, can't play blitz or bullet but a rapid genius!!!

That's a great point about his other time control ratings.

I think the takeaway is be competitive. Don't insult your opponent by waiting until he's up 15 queens to start thinking, but keep in mind won games are the hardest to win. You can find a lot of draws if you just don't resign. Do have a strategy. The game really is about tactics. I was frustrated that I allowed a N fork today, then literally two moves later he allowed a B fork. It amounted to a rook trade, but going into the endgame my B controlled his pawn and the key corner square. Strategy informs your trades. Most of my blunders come from missing candidate moves. I'd love advice, but it seems like a creativity thing. Step one is coming up with candidate moves - step two is calculating lines. Step one is putting on your turn signal - step two is looking for an opening. It's easy forget the order does matter until you do it so many times it's hard to imagine any other habit. Good video, good game, good presentation.
@mrpatzer5 ай бұрын
Exactly. Keep your cool and just know that there is a good chance your mistake will be returned, but you have to pay attention. When we get overly emotional, then we are more likely to miss that chance. And if we resign, we def miss it.
