This is the only “Tedious area” in this game & only these switches are for extra items. I have almost completed BoF3 years ago, and the complaints people have are bullcrap or are from individuals who are so used to modern day gaming & Way points that they don’t want to think for themselves on how to progress. In older roleplaying games you’re expected to do 2 - things:Read the instruction Booklet that came with the Game, and problem solve I.e exploring the environment & talking with NPCs. Just because you’re incapable of doing any of those actions doesn’t mean it is the Games fault.

I'm shocked no one has made maps for places like this and the rest of the game.....

I swear FF VIII's story is convoluted cringe, from beginning to end. Like, I get it, romance is a predominant theme in all FF games but goddamn the cringe fest in this game was unbearable at times. Not surprised it's not a popular mainline game tbh

The whole deep sea research center needs to be redone I’m not going back there with a bunch of crazy but head monsters kicking my butt every time I go down there 😡 Several problems 1. I can’t use Diablos enc none ability That doesn’t have any effect on it Monsters especially ultimate weapon is too strong for me to handle

That light house powering up section gave me so much headache. Fortunately I was playing on my raspberry pi and did a save state to load back so I didnt have to rebuy more flame chrysm. I forgot how much patience it takes to play this compared to newer games. Gonna play this part tomorrow.

I realize this playthrough is 13 years old but even back then abolishing the random rule was a thing. you spend 30 minutes getting rid of the random rule all over the world and then never have to worry about it again

What an ending! I really like how Peco will grow into an yggdrasil one day. Also wanted to say thank you! Your walkthrough helped me through so many parts of the game that I got stuck on. This was my first playthrough and absolutely loved it. BoF3 will go down as one of my favorite ps1 games of all time now 👍

This was helpful....Good grief....I spent hours looking all over, she kept saying I was missing a part, Finally found the last part, ended up with 2 or 3 of several parts in the end....Phew....That was a chore....And that was after the rope pulling minigame that you have to pass which was pretty tricky, took many tries ....and then beating the boss, didn't find the monsters in the freighter to be anywhere near as difficult as they were hyped up to be though, but I had to sweep the interior of the freighter several times to get everything....Finally the ship is sailing, waiting to see what else the game is going to throw my way! Fun but the different puzzles can be challenging!

Are you streaming the sequel to this game? I’m waiting to see if you do a let’s play, that’s why I haven’t played it yet.

If I remember, most of the Enemies in the Ice Cavern are weak to Fire.

It's a bit late but anyway. Just before the boss when you are running across the bridge mashing O. You can get 1500 points with a turbo controller. But 1100 I think is only humanly possible.
