Nice fish, hard to beat fishing on a nice fall day! I noticed the MAGS rod, how do you like it and what did you purchase?
@suburbanangling12 күн бұрын
@alkatona2486 thanks man! Dude, I LOVE my mags rods. I have two of them, and they are usually locked in my hands. My buddies and some other subscribers have purchased some and have all been happy to my knowledge. Sensitive, but most of all, durable. I've beat mine up, and they're holding up well after a year plus . I have a 7' 2" medium light spinning and a 7'3" medium heavy casting

@DaveBudach 1.5-4 foot of water . Just really varied on the area of the river and the kind of stuff they were holding on. As long as there is some depth and decent hard rock/gravel bottom there can be some fish

@suburbanangling21 күн бұрын
@Kioti3129 braid is easier to learn how to cast with if you aren't already using that . Make sure you keep ur thumb on the spool and don't let the line just fly around freely when you cast . Keep tension knob and brakes high till you get adept with the reel . I use little to no brakes and loose tension on all my reels
@brianathern915421 күн бұрын
Solid advice from someone whose had baitcaster nightmares. Now last thing start with heavier lures until you get some confidence

I’ve been sitting on pulling the trigger on buying this since it came out. I haven’t seen that many long term reviews. Though they could be minor issues & could be modified, but having to spend the extra money for it to be “bulletproof” is kind of discouraging. Back to just getting AP120 now (tho I really want this one for a few more reasons)
@suburbanangling23 күн бұрын
@Rigs2Ridges ap120 also weighs 50lbs+ more if you're talking old town. I haven't spent one extra penny on my kayak other than the graphs and trolling motor . And one bottle of dry lube for the pedals . I agree some things could be better, but I fish out of it comfortably
@Rigs2Ridges23 күн бұрын
@@suburbanangling there’s a guy named Romell - I believe they call him the wizard when it comes to kayak mods and builds. I think he’s the one who installed or made a pedal for Greg Blanchard. Another PWR129 owner on YT was talking about it when he bought his PWR 129 and modded it. I’d like to find that video again
