I went to a game store one time where nothing was marked (thankfully first and only time) and when I walked up to the counter, there was one person ahead of me. It was taking so long to find a price for their game so I just walked out. It just comes off as very lazy and greedy to leave everything unmarked. As a customer, you’re more inclined to buy when you feel like you’re getting a fair deal, not getting squeezed for every last penny on every purchase.

theres a local shop that does this bullshit. my rule of thumb is, I dont buy anything that doesnt have a price tag. including regular stores as well.

There's a game store in my town and everything is essentially por (price on request) and it's usually always an eBay price.

This goes for any store, I leave pretty quick if things aren't marked. Even cars have a price on them and those ones are like the staple for things that people haggle prices for.

yeah there was an old woman with a head towel speaking a mix of german, french and probably arabic telling me they want 15 bucks for stuff like wii play and old fifas, all while my friend stole the yugioh cards lol. the store only stayed open for a year or so.

There was a video game stor that used to not lut ptices in their games and do the whole ebay pricing check up, needless to say I never went back and soom after i foumd the store went out of business and completely shut down.

Local antique and collectibles stores by me like to do that with vinyl records and it takes forever to flag someone down and then you can determine if all the records are overpriced. Prices are important for people like me who don't haggle just want to know the price and are ready to buy if it's good.

It depends on state.For example the texas department of agriculture does oversee overcharges and fines stores that don't honor shelf pricing. I can't speak for other countries but I wouldnt be surprised if there's more laws protecting consumers elsewhere

as someone who works on damaged packages in a shipping facility, thank you for taking proper care of your customers by packing that way. The amount of empty envelopes or sideways detergent bottles I see is pretty crazy, but ultimately people just dont know/care about how rough line-haul shipping can be

Its because the real fans of those consoles are flabbergasted others would get rid of them. Personally, i enjoy putting a game in, not downloading a 20GB update, being able to play immediately, and pausing wherever. Its wild that peoole get rid of expensive games for cheap.
