Wow! Congrats on this stunning video. I so appreciate the amazing quality. 😊 I think this is literally the most beautiful man made structure I have ever seen. So much love, money, and creativity, must have gone into making this beautiful/unique place. Truly one of a kind. 🙂 I’m going to Canada soon, through a work permit. Among the Canadian cities I could go to, Calgary, was on the list. Now, other bigger places like Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver, were also, on the list. Boy, was I tempted to go for the last two mentioned. But ultimately, I decided on Calgary, because of this video. I guess when I discovered this treasure, I knew exactly where to go. So, see you folks soon! I can’t wait to visit this amazing place. ❤🌟

Wow, a little short on video footage for your shitty video - just show the same stuff a second time, half of which had nothing to do with trains! Why don't give the camera to a 10 year old who would do a better job!

I wonder why CPKC named its HQ campus after a hated figure in railroading?

There was many more great figure before that guy in the history of Canadian Pacific , I was verry sorry to see that too .😢

@@louisletourneau3429 they could have named it after Lord Strathcona, or even Mr. Van Horne... but being named after a guy both Democrats and Republicans in the US Congress loathed (they would have loved to grill him, but you know, he died before they could do it...), what was Mr. Creel thinking?

1:24 I never knew that there was an observation dome car in the Canadian Pacific 😮
@kristoffermangila5 ай бұрын
I think this dome car is not of Canadian Pacific vintage. It a Super Dome, most likely an ex-Santa Fe one.

@@kristoffermangila correction the dome car is ex Southern Pacific Heritage and Canadian Pacific later CPKC wanted a dome car so they got one

@@bartwentink2189 but they are Budd domes, since Budd was the preferred passenger car supplier for CP.
@bartwentink21895 ай бұрын
@kristoffermangila I am not enough of a rail connoisseur to know the difference between various dome cars. The ones I remember were silver in colour, so definitely not the one in this video, but they did have some kind of dome cars on The Canadian in the 70s.

It's very disappointing that there are not more Canadian stops, since CP is the parent railroad, not Kansas City. Some of us in the eastern province would have loved to have seen it in action, in person, I know, for sure. Any chance of additional stops in Canada?
@soulgaming61965 ай бұрын
In all fairness it's not like the engine is immediately gonna get moth balled after. My guess they will slowly vist the rest of Canada starting next year.
@jonathanaina77545 ай бұрын
I guess another reason why they didn’t head east is because CN is the railroad that serves the Eastern portion of Canada. Yes, CP does run trains there but they don’t own most of the trackage there I think
@bartwentink21895 ай бұрын
@@jonathanaina7754To your point, they are skipping Houston for the same reason. They will roll through here on UP tracks, but they can't stop since there's no CPKC yard to host the event.
@trackside_mb355 ай бұрын
They did recently add one more stop in Canada in Winnipeg, though its not super far east
