Very cool to bring back furnitures to life with the restoration. On the other hand, you are not taking into account your time and gas. I am not sure how long this took you but I will assume at least 8 hours to drive to pick it up, do all the steps you showed and then list it, talk to people and finaly sell it. Looks to me you will be making less than minimum wage doing this. People on marketplace and other resell sites are looking for bottom dollars pieces so it will be very hard if not impossible to actually get paid for your work. If you went higher end with antiques doing restoration with high quality wood finishes, I can see a way to make a good profit. Doing paint jobs will not allow you to sell a piece of furniture for say 50$ an hour of your time. I enjoyed your video, I hope my ideas will help you for future projects.

Modern comes from Mid Century Modern. That piece would be considered Contemporary. ❤

Since you asked… No, I would never paint granite countertops and spray paint a stainless steel refrigerator.

I think it matches better with the backsplash. The old countertops are dated ! Great job!! 👏🏼

Enjoyed video but where is your labor costs?

Painting over expensive counter is not for most people. The better option might have been to cover the backsplash with a neutral color and then remove it when you can afford it. Then again it’s not my home.

Why on gods green earth would you not just replace that hideous, tacky, poorly colored, cheap asian imported backsplash? A very inexpensive alternative without the durability issues. What a shame!
Really turned out good. I had never seen this technique. I'll have to keep it in mind for when I'm doing cabinetry for my basement tiki bar.

I feel like I’m buying my first home cringing at all the weird crap the previous owners did … like peel and stick tile and stickers on the kitchen backsplash, painting one room in its entirety (walls floor ceiling AND woodwork) a gawdy blue, etc. What I’m saying is… don’t paint granite. Work with an interior decorator to use paint colors for your walls instead to DETRACT from the countertop. That backsplash only enhances it which is why it sticks out like a sore thumb. They don’t coordinate - they compete. Granite should never be painted. Even when you are paid a commission. Just don’t.

Love it. Besides the quality workmanship, a lot of what you're offering is the ability to see a beautiful design from out of nothing. I could never have looked at old dresser and imagined such a nice piece. One question, how do you find handles that cheap? They look like they would be way more than $5 apiece.

Your fridge? Wow, must see that. I like the color, it reminds me of slate. I might have added some variation to the color to make it look like slate. I would have to experiment lol

I would price that piece at 475 so if you offered me 400, then I could close the sale if I wanted. Seems like you are willing to barter and likely prefer quick flips. So that is my 2 cents. Good luck to you and thanks for the video.

I would have left it, and added cool toned accessories to balance the warmth of the counter and cabinets. I would have pulled from the granites grey tones and green undertones of the gold. I would've also changed the hardware to a cool tone to match the appliances. Then a cool tone rug. To me it actually matches just need the extra ingredient to pull it all together. It cheapens the look too honestly. But to his to her own.
