Dale seems so relaxed and fun to talk to. It was really funny to hear both IRL and Dale mention here how Justin would tell him, his prints were like traffic cones. It just clicked. 🚦❤🔥

I love this! Just a few more things to add to the lore: Brent Dellinger actually tried that horizontal hook twice in his 2002 routine also, @ 2:21: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pnOcfmiojdyNpsksi=VFmA4F6-wxD7pi6r&t=141 Spencer Berry had a GREAT early horizontal/body braintwister in Sector Y's Test Subject 001, @ 0:53: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n2O6aKifaNSbircsi=Q1VIoBmusH0MYgUL&t=53 (Released mid 2001) There's some other cool stuff I can't find, but I'll try to track down the videos. :D

I remember nailing And Whut on stage at the 2001 Nats Gong Show after seeing Jason do in his WCR freestyle. Pretty much all of our tricks in 2001 were influenced derivatives of whatever Jason and Paul were doing!

One of my absolute most favorite yoyoers for as long as my 47yo self has been doing it. Crazy creative and inventive. I met him once at a contest. I barged right through several people he was talking to, totally interrupted their conversation, just to geek out on how awesome it was to shake his hand and meet him in person. The people who I barged past were legends in yoyoing but, I would consider Doc Pop to be a legend among legends. Like, legendary yoyoers look up to him. I was probably 40yo when I did that and have absolutely no regrets. I'm sure he doesn't remember that brief encounter but, it's a moment that will live in my memory forever.

Nicely done. The only thing i would add is that before you take the string off of the hooks, over-wind it a bit and give it a few good tugs to help set it settle to its final shape. It might help the string play more consistently.
