Was I prepared for my endowment? I was 27, I'd been a member for 7 year, had a limited use reccomend and was very faithful. NO I wasn't prepared for it! It only makes sense when you cange the the way think so that it can make sense. I guess it's up to you to decide if it's the truth or conditioning to believe something. My sealing was a positive experience but I would not say my endowment experience was.

Fun fact: I didn't even know what the endowment was or what garments were until I was fourteen and started looking through Latter Day Saint apologetics. PLEASE tell your children about it. I spent way too much of my life thinking the only things that occurred in the temple were baptisms and marriages. I ended up learning about the endowment through KZbin. Where would you rather have your kids learn about the temple: the internet or you?

Crazy idea: The church could use the money to help at least as many people as a single KZbinr. That guy, MrBeast, provided reliable, clean water through wells, elevated tanks, and piping for about 500,000 people. Yes, the church has funded wells. But he's one dude. The proportional comparison is unreal. When you know better, do better. So do better, LDS church.

Sarah Allen's CES letter rebuttal series on Reddit saved my testimony for the LDS church. I seriously don't think I would be a part of the church today if I hadn't found it. Her research resuscitated the single speck of hope I had left and allowed me to find my way back to the iron rod. FAIR changed her life, but she helped change mine. Thank you so much, Sarah! I hope we can meet one day so I can thank you in person. You will continue to be in my prayers ❤

The church "is the most complex that it has ever been" explains why it employs so many lawyers. The current historian isnt a historian, he is a lawyer. If you are a bishop and have a child being abused you are instructed to call a helpline that is not a social worker, but a lawyer. If you want to build a temple in a town and the residents dont like it, or it is outside of zoning laws because you want a steeple to reach to heaven, who do you send? You guessed it, you send lawyers to threaten the town to give in to your demands. Everywhere you turn in this church you bump into a lawer. If you hid money in shell companies so your members don't stop paying tithing, who do you blame when you get caught? Well, the lawyers of course.
@00Fisher00
@00Fisher00 7 күн бұрын
The Church has layers because we believe in obeying the law. Laws for zoning, abuse, and various other areas vary from state to state and nation to nation. Of course the Church of Jesus Christ will employ lawyers.

The church purposely used the smaller funds to skirt showing how much money they had to the public. That is why they don’t have open books like they used to. If people in the church were fully aware of how much money there was, many would stop paying tithing. It’s a fact. I’m not saying the church is mismanaging the money and not using it to grow the church throughout the world. But that’s what happened and why.

Simply God prospering His church and accelerating His work. Pure miracle for those with eyes to see. 🎉No unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing; persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent, till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished, and the Great Jehovah shall say the work is done.”🎉🎉
@alextemus
@alextemus 2 күн бұрын
Not sure which part is the miracle... Is it the 7ish percent growth rate, that lags the S&P 500? or Is it the ecclesiastical leaders who rejected the advice of lawyers and accountants and chose not to file SEC mandated disclosures? or Is it the billions in tithing because people are told they have to pay first thing, in order to be righteous despite the church not using it's money currently, just adding to the coffers? (seems like people should be told to wait until they're financially stable to pay tithing then, since that seems to be the sound practice the church follows), or Is it the mall in Salt Lake when, for comparison, the gates foundation is irradicating polio from the face of the earth despite having access to half of the resources of the church? or Is it that the church has the funds to defend people like Paul Adams in court and celebrate that his actions continued for years longer than necessary because of non-mandatory reporting laws? I guess you might call the returns miraculous from companies the church owned such as Phillip Morris and Altria (tobacco), Starbucks (coffee), CZR, MGM, and LVS (casinos mostly, also strippers and tons of alcohol and tobacco sales, or any one of the other company the church only removed * after * whistleblowers told the world where the church was hiding its assets.

The first thing Elon would say is, "Your returns are under market value" (Church's returns were around 5/6%). The church has no product that benefits humanity. Elon is about extending human consciousness to other planets BECAUSE he doesn't believe in God. If the church is anything, it's a slow-moving and incredibly difficult corporate machine to change. It's incredibly inefficient. It's stingy monetarily, but that doesn't equal efficiency. When you have millions of man-hours of free labor efficiency is a long second place to obedience and ridged hierarchy. DO MORMONS HAVE A PRIESTHOOD? In the opening sentences of the Book of Revelation, John the Apostle makes an astounding statement when he declares: "Blessing and peace to you from him who is, and was, and is coming, and from the seven spirits before his throne and from Jesus Christ, the trustworthy witness, the first born of the dead, the sovereign of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has released us from our sins by his own blood--he has made us a kingdom of priests for His God and Father--to him be glory and power forever" (Goodspeed, verses 4-6). How incisive is this plain declaration by apostolic authority, Jesus Christ who is the sovereign of the kings of the earth, the one who continues to love us and who has released us from our sins through His own blood, has also made us "a kingdom of priests for His God and Father." Here is the true priesthood indeed. The Christian does not need any temples, secret services, rituals and mysteries. His priesthood knows no special offices and power to communicate with the dead, something which the Mormon priesthood most definitely claims (See Leaves from the Tree, a catechism for young people by Mormon leader Charles Penrose, p.38). The Christian priesthood embraces all those who have been loosed from their sins by the Blood of Jesus Christ, and who enjoy the perpetual love of the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. This concept is further developed in the writings of Peter, who affirms that: "You are the chosen race, the "royal priesthood," the consecrated nation, his own people, so that you may declare the virtues of him who has called you out of darkness into his wonderful light; you who were once no people, but are now God's people; once unpitied, but now pitied indeed..." (I PETER 2:9 and 10, Goodspeed). In this context, the words of the apostle establish that long before there were any mythological Mormon priesthoods, there is a priesthood embracing all redeemed, a "royal priesthood," neither Aaronic nor Melchizedek. This priesthood is composed of all consecrated "ambassadors for Christ," to quote the Apostle Paul, whose task it is to exhort men to "be reconciled to God," "knowing the terror of the Lord" (II Corinthians 5:20 and 11). As has been observed, Mormonism places great stress upon the priesthood. But as we have also seen, it is not the priesthood described in the Scriptures. Instead they have substituted the revelation of "Prophet" Smith concerning a priesthood which has been changed (Hebrews 7:12) and a priesthood which by its nature is "untransferable" (7:24). The resulting dilemma is that they have no priesthood at all since their denial of the true Deity of Jesus Christ and the nature of God rules out the possibility that they could share in the priesthood of all believers. In order for one to be one of the "kingdom of priests for His God and Father" (Revelation 1:4-6) and a member of the "royal priesthood" (I PETER 2:9, 10), one must first have undergone personal regeneration in a saving encounter or experience with the God-Man of Scripture--Jesus Christ. Mormon theology with its pantheon of gods, its perverted view of the Virgin Birth, and its outright condemnation of all churches as an "abomination" (Joseph Smith--History 1:19), removes itself from serious consideration as a form of Christianity. There is more to Christianity than the application of the Christian ethnic. There is a great deal more to the Gospel than the similarity of terms, albeit redefined. Christianity is not just a system of doctrinal pronouncements (though they are of vast importance). It is a living vital experience with the God of the Bible as He was incarnate in the man from Nazareth. Mormonism with its many doctrinal vagaries and outright denials of historic Christian teachings, disqualifies itself. And its priesthood, on which it places so much emphasis, is shown to be the antithesis of the divine revelation.

When you seek answers from the Book of Mormon instead of the Bible, God can't help you because you have turned your back on Him. Therefore this leaves the door open for Satan (II Corinthians 11:14-15) to step into your life with a false christ or prophet showing you signs and wonders to lead you away from the real Jesus of the Bible who is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity and the Eternal Creator God. God Himself warns us about this in: MATTHEW 24: 23-24 "Then if anyone says to you, Look, here is the Christ! or There! do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect..." Mormons teach and believe that their jesus is the brother of Satan, which contradicts what God says in His Bible that Jesus is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity and the Eternal Creator God. So Mormons, which Jesus do you believe in? A. Your jesus of the Book of Mormon, who is the brother of Satan. OR B. The Jesus of the Bible, who is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity and the Eternal Creator God.
@00Fisher00
@00Fisher00 12 күн бұрын
No one "seeks answers from the Book of Mormon instead of the Bible". Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints study all of God's word. You need to seek more understanding, especially before trying to correct people, and if you hope to understand a particular religion, you should ask representatives and members of that religion, rather than whatever unreliable sources you're evidently using.

That stuff about Jesus and Satan being brothers that you guys always trot out is getting a bit old. We are all children of our heavenly father. Including satan. Jesus is the son of heavenly father. Therefore we are all brothers and sisters. It's that simple. You have tied God's hands behind his back, not allowing him to speak to us ever again. When I read the Book of Mormon I was turning to god, not away. You are saying god deceived me. If your god does that, he's not the god I want to be associated with.
