Only fished there once in the 80's . Walked over grass and climbed down. Using bead breakaways with the wires hanging. Theory is they go between rocks and spring out - which worked - never lost a lead. I still have the mould for the surfbomb leads you're using! Probably the last time I caught codling and I wasn't casting far. High tide at night time. Duing daylight I saw a sea lion watching me . Great video, must get down that way before I'm 70. By the way lead LIFTERS work well there.

Hello mate, I am noob in sea fishing, I usually fish for carp. Tuesday I will go to Chesil Beach for fishing over nighr, do you have any advice for me? Bait, tactics ect. Thank you
@_Just_B4 жыл бұрын
Hi Gabriel, if you are fishing over night and no daylight fishing leave the small rigs at home haha take feathers with you and feather up some fresh mackeral and scad when you are there just before sunset. Take crab, squid, sandeel and frozen mackerel (incase you dont get any fresh). Rig wise just standard 3ft pulley rigs with 4/0 hooks baits with what i mentioned earlier and cocktail them up too. You should be in with a shot for smooth hounds, bass, rays, conger eels etc. Good luck dude 👍

@@_Just_B thanks for quick reply , same,,, even leader i go clear ,, I'm just getting back after long absence ,, and soo much has changed ,, thought that maybe there was a chance that someone discovered fish were color blind . Had contacted my old fishing shop and inquired about a multiplier rod ,,only to be told that they hadn't sold one for over six years ,, everyone gone fixed spool with 15-16ft rods ??? who knew
@_Just_B4 жыл бұрын
@@peterelliott1462 Yeah there has been a huge uptake of "continental" style of fishing. I still prefer my multi's and 13"9 mutli rods after snapping 3 conti's at the butt section haha

Great vid I’ve not tried that mark before I take it you can fish it any state of tide ?
@nemesisslr4 жыл бұрын
Yes but you have to remember the tide comes in fast and 8 ounces of lead are needed to hold bottom. I use 60lb spectra braid on multis when fishing there.
@_Just_B4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Scott, yes like nemisisslr said watch the tide, after speaking to some locals that mark generally fished better up and over high.
@nemesisslr4 жыл бұрын
I do not live local to the area. So what my mate and I do when fishing the BC is to fish 2 marks. Its usually Minehead for 4 hours over low then move to Battery over high. My mate swears by using flat leads there with big lug baits for Cod
