pretty pissed off that i bought an 160 gb slim model back in november for $160 and the store claimed that it was repaired and refurbished and such, yet a good amount of games run terribly, and lag and freeze frequently. they wont offer refunds either due to the short warranty expiration or make some excuse. there are literally 3 missing pads that are supposed to be under the console. and theres dust and gunk in the inside.

I have the fat PS3 model (60GB) the limited edition one that can run PS2 games. After these updates my PS3 reads my games discs but the disc icon won't appear to launch the game, I thought it was disc drive or laser issue as it has gathered a lot of dust over the years but weird thing is it will let me play PS2 games smoothly and will only read & play one PS3 game an that is COD: Black Ops but nothing from all other games no matter the condition of the disc. Either this update has messed the settings of PAL/NTSC, confusing the system of what it can play and not OR my blu ray laser is too worn out to read double layered blue ray discs. I think its Sony deliberately sabotaging our systems so upgrade to new systems.

I hate this Error code alot 8001 05 14, Some of my games are working just fine like Gow Ascension, SFXT, And Also Gow III.
