2 Questions: If assault weapons are outlawed, will everyone, including criminals turn them in? Can you now see how I might want to have these weapons to protect myself, if bad guys are NOT coming at me with muskets?
@eleveneleven5722 ай бұрын
Speaking from the UK, years ago it was easy to get a gun and we didn't have incidents. Kids had air rifles. There were junior shotguns. The guns never changed, society did..... responsibility, morals, "cultures". But we had a couple of incidents, laws were changed in a hurry, now there are serious restrictions...... but now criminals have guns and we have SWAT style armed police response units and more gun crime than ever in the UK....whilst the law abiding majority have no access to defence against the criminals. PS O'Donnell is a POS 💩

The CONSTITUTION doesn't care about your feelings OR your fear, Rosie. Neither do I. But I do care about the Constitution and EVERY REASON why the founders included the second amendment. Tom was more than tolerant of your supreme ignorance, and shame on you for this pithy and grade-school level attack, on your show, when you KNEW Tom would have no choice but to handle it like the gracious guest and man that he is.

Now I myself don't belive in no guns or NRA. However I do believe people have a right to their beliefs whether their views are the same or not. This is still America isn't it? Having said that what O Donell did here with Selleck was pure bullying and childish. Thank the good lord Selleck had class and was a gentleman. What she did was pure stupidity and if I'm not mistaken this was the beginning of when most including myself realized she was a phony.

She is trying to put him in the hot seat. He stands by his viewpoint and maintains the poise and class of a first rate artist. She is a bully! I revisited this clip as it reinforces the tactics of the media to bully as far back as 25 years ago. The liberal mainstream media/talkshow, etc will not tolerate any dissent. Dangerous!
@jahnkaplank86265 ай бұрын
She didn't give him ANY opportunity to say what he wanted to say: she just wanted to rant and bash him; she is the perfect example of what the left calls "tolerance", the way she just talked all over him and then obviously thinking she won the debate. It was no debate; it was an exposure: she exposed herself here as a biased, partisan, uninformed bully, and a hack, and that is why she failed. The left does not want to debate, because they will ALWAYS lose, so they bully, and try to belittle and demean, like O'Donnel did in this exchange. Samantha Bee used 2 words famously to describe exactly what O'Donnel was in this clip.

Tom handled himself so elegantly in this interview. She was really aiming to steamroll him and he kept his cool fairly well. Rosie, like many Americans, had a right to be upset about Columbine. I was a freshman in high school when that happened and it was scary, disturbing, shocking, and upsetting. However, she wrongly took that anger out on Tom. He really handled her rudeness quite well.

Im from the uk and we are very anti gun here and can only own a gun if you have a job that involves need for one like a police officer farmer soldier and so on to which you do have to have a licenses for so although I do agree with Rosie on that part im on Tom's side with this he wasn't there to talk about her one sided opinions i felt he gave very fair and reasonable answers to her questions even though he didn't have to answer them because again thats not what he was there for

Here is an example of a man "mansplaining", trying to be quiet and calm but NOT addressing an issue with honesty. Why couldn't he admit assault rifles are a different beast from what the founding fathers voted in? Thanks for trying, Rosie.
