The importance of taking on projects isn’t stated enough. It’s the difference between watching and and actually learning. You don’t need to create a new idea. Get a project idea from a KZbin video, or a website, then try to see and research by yourself how the project is supposed to go, the various logic to be implemented, and then try to do it. Do not be afraid to google code, do not be afraid to copy-paste code, do not be afraid to Chat-GPT it even. As long as you are able to understand the inner workings of your application, and explain how the application performs it’s tasks. With time, as you take on more projects, you find yourself increasingly reliant on your OWN knowledge, (although we can never be fully reliant on our knowledge as even experienced devs still google code). That is the true measure of growth as a programmer.
