This film takes the big issue of climate change and brings it down to the human level by profiling indigenous people around the world. Island Reach's work to address the practical aspects of this impact is inspiring.

Great movie which correctly touches on many aspects of climate change, or better said, global warming (this is really the word that should be used here). In the current discussion of mass media this overall term 'climate change' is very prone to be linked to events which may be either related to global warming or misuse of our living environment. This makes that people get overwhelmed with too many problems to comprehend, thus ignore it, as there is very little they can do personally to address this problem. What happens is that people, including myself, live in this cognitive dissonance of fearing the future effects of what is going on, but still consume like there is no tomorrow. That is perhaps an even bigger problem than ignorance.

Thanks Wolfgang. Many use the term "Climate Disruption" for greater precision and then, tofurther reducethe cognitive dissonance you note, distinguish those impacts from two others primary vectors: the negative impacts of extractive economies of scale and population impacts: All related yet distinct and thus clarifying.
