I’d like to see you do a video on the 511, (the best selling fit at Levi’s at one point, possibly to this day) Information on that pair is all over the place. It’s difficult to even find a the date they were introduced . Some second hand pairs marked 511 seem to be straight fit, while we all know the 511 to be slim fit. (Or “skinny” fit 10-15 years ago)

y’all are making it too hard. For Levi’s STF, just follow the formula 1 inch bigger in the waist, 2 to 3 inches longer in the leg and soak them in the machine in hot water for an hour, then complete the cycle in the washing machine. pull out the wrinkles and drip dry. the next time just run it through the washer and dry it in the dryer.

Now they make selvedge Premium, but as for my exprience, Premium (100% cotton) really worth the extra. Each pair is unique, but some of my Premium compare to my original USA Cone Mills, 150th selvedge or even LVC. As you said, LVC sell a story. If you want to flex on top of the top quality, go Iron Heart.

I have that same pair of SDA jeans. Absolutely love them. I've worn them a bunch over the last 3-4 years and they're beautiful! The indigo goes bright blue as it wears in. I'm not much for high contrast fading, so I do wash them more regularly than some might. As you say lower temp, inside out and hang dry, but they've still developed a ton of character with the only heavy wear where my cuff hits my boots.

funny video, but actually Levis solved the rivet problem in 1937 by moving them on the back pocket to the inside. Hidden rivets as they are called and the don't scratch anything on the outside anymore haha. So that was already 30 years earlier. Lee never had that problem. They used UFO styled ones wich did not scratch and changed to bar tracking in the 40s.

Great content, thanks! I got the 1870 Nevada Overall. I'm a W32 and I found they run way too big, like a W33. I then went one size down and got the W31, overall a better fit. If i don't use suspenders i need to tighten the cinch all the way to the end to keep them high in place. I must say that Levi’s sizing is all over the place and i find quite often incongruous measurements in between same size garments. Even though the 1870 Nevadas are all L32, the W32 was 1 inch shorter than the W31. These jeans are meant to be worn at high waist like in those times and that is how i like to wear them. They are fabulous, so soft and light, and very comfy, with such an amazing retro vintage look. I also got the beautiful 1879 triple pleat blouse in barbary indigo worn in , same as the one you wear in the video. Just not sure about sizing for this though since it has a slight loose fit. Would you recommend to keep the M for a slight loose fit or keep the S which is more fitted? Not interested much in layering. Just a tank top, a t-shirt or a shirt underneath.Thanks!
