So I bought some used levis 501 off ebay. Some of them need some shrinkage in length and some on the thigh area. Can I still shrink these even though they've been used and washed over the years? Thanks! Some are vintage but not salvedged vintage. Early 2000s I'm talking. But they are xx (shrink to fit)
@denindenim13 сағат бұрын
Once the fabric gets wet, the shrinking has already happened. You can try on hotter water but I don’t think anything will change. You need “raw, rigid, unwashed”

Ibuyoldjeans .com or try on eBay or Vinted. Do you have the ones with diamonds and gold buttons?
@wilhelmseleorningcniht94108 күн бұрын
my only question is honestly just how the hell do you put a button fly on? Admittedly I don't have a pair of 501s, these are swiss army surplus, but the whole concept of buttons in a fly is alien to me. Not much room to actually button the buttons, certainly can't do it like one does a shirt

So if I buy it off Levi's (I just ordered a type 1 , there's type 2 only 15 available in small size ) will it be a jacket this old or will it be a jacket made in this exact design? I want a type 2 BAD I have a type 3 n just ordered the type 1, but I don't know if it's more worth it to buy a "tcb type 2" jacket?
@denindenim8 күн бұрын
It’s a recreation. The design is close but tiny differences. Real historic are available but expensive. Stores like berberjin or mushroom vintage have them. Pricey like 50k

It's not the mid-sixties film stock. It was the technicolor dye-transfer printing process. The Godfather Part II (1974) was the last US film release printed in this process.

Idk why we simply cant be given the real story without it being jazzed up with made up and exaggerated events.perhaps itd take another hour to tell the full story better, but,if youre really enough into the subject,youll go see a 3 hour movie.....only half hearts with a short attention span would complain. Its like with 1970s tora tora tora versus the more recent pearl harbor....ebert panned the 1970 as long and boring,but, to we ww2 fans, its a masterpiece. The new one is crap for idiots.

Better Man is by far the least formulaic biopic that I have seen in a long time. The chimpanzee is the least surprising creative decision that was made during this whole movie. I think it did an excellent job of using Robbie Williams' story to actually make a commentary on the themes of addiction, mental health, and fame instead of just giving us a sequence of reenacted moments from his career like A Complete Unknown did. I left Better Man feeling like I had a personal connection to all of his songs even though I had never heard them before. I honestly don't think I would have even liked the songs in this movie had I only listened to them on their own first. Aside from the music, it was also just an incredibly moving story that had me emotional at multiple points. Easily the best movie I've seen this past year besides Nosferatu and Challengers.

My first 501s were probably 1966s because I got them for back-to-school before 8th grade in 1969. They were my first "big boy" jeans, and I felt like the cock of the walk whenever I wore them - which was almost constantly.

Monica Barbaro (as Joan Baez) is wearing blue Levi's shorts with a white pocket tab during one of her Newport Folk performances, including the "It Ain't Me, Babe" duet with Dylan. And I love the film overall. Keep up the good work!

one does not simply wear his trousers lower. they need to be pulled up as far as they can. and sit way above the bellybutton, anything lower is really ungentlemanly
@James-sn5mg10 күн бұрын
I don't know about that. Above the belly look too neat and formal, not good for street fashion. Guys look sexier when jeans are slightly sagged, a few inches below the waist.

Love all your videos. I am particularly excited and interested in all debut 1997 LVC jeans. It appears that LVC modified their LVC line in around 2000 to include tell tale differences. The original LVC jeans looked exactly like the original vintage whereas the later designs appear heavily modified. Would you consider doing a Den In Denim program and include your observations and wisdom between the original early LVC vs today's current LVC line? Thanks so much! Dave in Portland

in actual truth, Dylan wore Lee 101Z jeans. there's a pic of him walking through Washington Square Park(?) and the Spade Pocket and Lazy S stitching are clearly visible. he might've also worn Levis, but all I know for sure is he certainly did wear a pair of Lees at the time.
