Could you let me know what size piston you bought? I purchased a 67.47mm and realized it’s too big for the cylinder jug. I want to re-order another one but don’t want to mess up the order again.

65.97mm is the stock piston width for an 04-09

question? Is there supposed to be oil in the air filter?
@motoshack1031 Жыл бұрын
The filter is supposed to be oiled yes 👍
@Atc250sx Жыл бұрын
If you are talking about oil being in air box, that's a whole diff story, and you likely overfilled it with oil. If that's the case, I'd get the oil to where it should be before you blow out rings and have an oil chugging freight train👍

@@motoshack1031 How is the Namura piston holding up? I ended up getting that yellow Z250 cheap. Top end is a mess...jug goes to the machine shop this weekend. I can get an O.E. Suzuki piston for about the same price as Namura....

@@tinygaragepowersports0122 I prefer the Namura’s over the stock ones, I have run them in many many machines with zero issues, i currently have an LTZ400 with a 434cc big bore kit with a 12.3:1 compression setup and that is using a Namura piston too, it’s been flawless! 👍

That line with the washer n bolt is that vacuum do it suppose to have something in it or not
@motoshack10312 жыл бұрын
Yeah it’s a vacuum line for the factory vacuum petcock, most people ditch the vacuum petcocks, this one included, they didn’t work all that great hence why people got rid of them and blocked off the vacuum port on the carb!

Glad to see another LTZ-250 being rebuilt. These quads are becoming more and more scarce these days. I have 2 super clean ones and just bought a 3rd one and the rear differential is toast. Paid $500 for it and putting $1000 into it so far. Great bikes for the younger ones. 🙂

Did you bring the motor to tdc prior to head removal? Great video!
@motoshack10313 жыл бұрын
It shouldn’t matter as you can spin the motor over after the fact and line up the TDC marks on the flywheel, even if you get it to TDC it will likely move around when taking the piston off etc so I usually don’t bother with the timing stuff until the head goes back on, hope this helps! ✌️
