The music is just beyond this world. Leaves me speechless every time I hear it. So much trembling, naked emotions in these melodies… my favourite composition in all the classical music I’ve ever heard

Its a pity that at the three quietest bits we hear, first a falsetto baby crying, then a nice forte cough, then a staccato door slamming. Who takes a baby to a classical concert? Please comment if you didn't hear this, its so unbelievable I'm worried about my own hearing.
@snipitydoda5 ай бұрын
Shut the fuck up. Your bitching is comparably more insufferable than the baby.

Way to complex for me , I'd be spending more time trying to work it out than actually making music. Not really conducive to those moments of inspiration.

This is brilliant playing It is always something special, and an affirmation of life, to see extremely talented young musicians tackle masterpieces of the repertoire. There is all the freshness of youth, and energy and ambition, and delight in pure facility! None of the professional vanity of old and jaded hands. Whenever a great youth orchestra comes to play in London, at the Royal Festival Hall, or the Barbican or Royal Albert Hall, one or more of the sisterhood lady lovers and I, we grab some cheap sets, and let our hearts be ravished. Rachmaninov, with his Russian tendency to "Slavic melodrama, melancholy and damnation", and that quite opposite "psyche-embracing" deliciously-lush, post-romantic harmony (not an ounce of the tedious minimalism of Anton Webern - my goddess I'd rather sit chewing the program notes) seems very suited to an American orchestra. Like Copeland, Barber or Hanson or Korngold. In 1001 years, we must pray that whatever becomes of our human sensuous-comprehension, and our general social relations, and technical powers, we can still say that genius symphonic music played by eager and fresh young souls will seem ... like circles of blessed heaven within our dirty cynical world. Inshallah! Love andrea

Outstanding youth orchestra, and I’ve just read they’re folding, which is a real pity. The Corigliano Concerto seemed on the path to mainstream prominence after it was premiered in the late 1970s - a lot of orchestras played it with their principals. But I don’t see it done all that much lately, so glad to see this performance. It’s always a hit with audiences.
