I've had my hilux for 25yrs and use it every day it won't die.

There’s no doubt these trucks are well built and do a great job off road. However, they won’t pull a gooseneck trailer, haul the same loads a 2500/250 truck will and won’t do a great many things the aforementioned trucks will on a ranch. I speak to this from experience not bias or jealousy.

My dream truck. I got 1980 toyota pickup 4x4 in the states. I drive it everywhere. Trusty 20r engine just keeps going. It was a 4 speed transmission but I put a 5 speed in it from a 83 pickup. Much better.

I notice with this model it has automatic locking front hubs. The kind where you don’t have to get out and lock the hubs to engage the 4wd. That’s sweet I have owned many In the us 1980-1985 models and I haven’t ever seen one from the factory with automatic locking hubs! I like that.
