it sounds like thin cheap metal, that drip tray looks like a nightmare to setup, and small hopper opening. as a pellet grill owner, i can tell you their first attempt at making a pellet grill is solely based on their name. smh.

Interesting I haven’t experienced any issues with any aspect of the smoker
@seapanther534 күн бұрын
@bigpuffineats blink twice if Blackstone is behind you, holding a gun to your head. 😆 Of course, you haven't experienced an issue yet. You just got it and haven't had it long enough. Once you change out that drip tray foil and have to clean up pellets, you're going to get upset and be annoyed. And after a couple years of trying to take care of it the best you can, just to watch the thin metal get destroyed, you're going to be upset over the quality and money wasted.

@@seapanther53 I do work with Blackstone but my views are my views and I would never jeporadize my integrity and give false information to my community. That being said. I have changed it out and it was easy. Time will tell on the rest.

Looks great. My only trepidation is where they have the smoke venting. I can see the entire back of the smoker being covered in soot. Just my take from my smoking experience.

my experience with the crack burger suggests that a skillet or griddle works better than a grill. When the cheese eventually melts out of the mix, the solid hot surface causes the cheese to form a crust-- the best part of the crack burger experience, IMO. Thanks for the content!

Hey Big Puffin, new sub here! I'm a wood and charcoal guy that bought a blackstone about a year ago. I thought it would be used a couple times and then rust away.... WRONG! I probably use mine at least 3 times per week. I'd recommend a griddle for anyone who enjoys cooking outside.
