This is a sad song Rodney. Even one of your biggest fans, on the ceiling, has stopped turning... But I enjoyed your recent Lighfoot show in Thunder Bay and I really like the Northland cd.

My late husband served in a combat unit in the Central Highlands of Vietnam in 67-68. He was a humble, modest man and he carried the scars and wounds of his experiences to his dying day. May they rest in peace.

So.... is this another mis-heard lyric. I thought Carefree Highway, was Every highway - until Gordon's tribute. Well, I've been singing We'll Sing in the Sunshine - and I thought I heard you say Whistling Sunshine. Which is it? I have a few more.
@RodneyBMovies28 күн бұрын
Have a few myself! We'll Sing In The Sunshine is correct!!

I am one of the 15,000 or so Finns that settled in Thunder Bay in 1960. (I was born in 1958). I remember coming to hear you sing at the Blue Hall on Simpson St. Ah those were the days! I have since had drivers licenses in 2 Canadian provinces and 3 US states. I've been a baker, a systems consultant, peddled bull sperm, worked in green houses, been a paramedic and finally a hospice RN. I have fond memories of Thunder Bay and do visit a couple of times a year. Love this content. Cheers.

I found one of your albums at the store up in Nolalu close to 10 years ago. Listened to it on repeat for over 5000km as the love of my life and I navigated the highways across the country about 5 years ago. I've since found home close to the source of the mighty Columbia River. I'm just hearing this song for the 1st time, and it hit me in a personal way. Thank you for your music, I have a feeling that my life would not have been nearly as fulfilling without it Sincerely, An old neighbour whom you've never met, but have impacted greatly

Rodney, you did a song I loved forever, called Union Man. Could you post it on KZbin? I lived in Thunder Bay way back in 1980 and became a huge fan. Being a union man's daughter, I really loved that particular ballad. Anyway, God bless you, from Toronto. Your music still rocks.
