..... this video answered my question about which side is the "port" side .... i thought maybe a crew shell-boat might reverse the orientation 'cuz all the galley slaves face backwards ; ) .... nope ! .... "port" is still the left side. Btw : it's said that the basic Roman merchant ships ( with their off-set / non-centered rudders ) invented the term "port" .... since the rudder was always on the right side, then those Roman ships always had to park the left ( port ) side against the dock / p

.... fascinating view of rowing / crewing ! The viewer gets to experience the rhythms of rowing from the perspective of the monitoring / shepherding boat ( gotta look up the proper term for that boat )This video makes me want to be a rower : )

.... very good to see SOMEone get that close to Loons .... in my trips to Adirondacks, i've never bern able to get that close .... however, i can still recall their haunting sound in the evenings while relaxing by a camp-fire. good job getting this video, Randy .... and very glad you enjoy the serene beauty of the Adirondacks

... wow ! .... i finally found a video of my favorite river ( the enchanting Oswegatchie river ) ..... and it's up-loaded onto KZbin by a very good friend of mine : Randy F. (!) .... it's now AUG 13th 2011 .... and it's the 30th anniversary of when my brother Tom & i discovered the truly magical ambience of this sweet, sweet river in the ancient Adironacks. my brother & i enjoyed our river trip for 3 days @ early October of 1981 ...years later we reprised our river trip with my nephew ... i f

"Greased" Athena film-productions must be commended for spot-lighting the GOOD time us Greece, NY natives had last Saturday nite for celebrating our almighty 40th high school re-union. 1971 was when many of us 58-year-olds graduated together with NO idea we'd have THIS much fun 40 years later ...... but we DID : )
