Firstly, I'd like to thank you for giving me the idea that I could install a blower and improve our dryer vent flow. But this is all wrong! The blower s/b at least 15 ft away from the dryer, and secondly there should absolutely be an EXTERNAL DRYER LINT TRAP. Failing to install this trap, will ruin the blower, and could actually be dangerous. The DBF110 DRYER EXHAUST BOOSTER SYSTEM directions actually show the secondary lint trap in the install instructions!
@buildingwithpapaАй бұрын
Thank you for your comment. I don’t know what state you live in, but I live in South Florida and I have installed many dryer vents with the city doing all the inspections and I have not failed the inspection and they do not allow you to put a screen on the outside vent because all it does is block the blower The blower forces out the lint so it does not get trapped inside the vent pipe. The blower that I use states are cannot be more than 8 feet away from the dryer and no more than 15 feet at the exit point. I am curious of what blower you are using.
@domos30Ай бұрын
@@buildingwithpapa Hi. I'm a DIYer, so I appreciate any advice that is given. The directions for this Dryer Booster Fan show the secondary lint trap. The Amazon product listing states the following (See below). I would suggest placing the fan too close might create a negative effect, pulling too much heat away from the dryer. "Installation Example VK PS booster fans allow for duct runs longer than 25 ft. Install the fan at least 15 ft. from the dryer, as close to the duct termination as possible. If installed closer than 15 ft., use the VENTS DLT454 Lint Trap to prevent lint from clogging the fan. Refer to the installation manual for the correct pressure switch angle."

Hey papa! What's easier to take that top screw off and to put it on is to drill a hole approximately where the screw is located. How you do that is to take the instrument cluster out and drill a hole through the plastic. You'll have access to the screw and you can use a regular Phillips screw driver. Will save a lot of time.

Well, these blades are very expensive at Home Depot and I go through a lot of them the saw all used to be my favorite tool and now the multitool is my favorite tool. I know once you get the machine you’ll like it. It does work takes a little bit to get the blades exactly the way you need them, but it’s really not bad. It does save on the blades on my blades up and then do them all at one time let me know how it works for you if you see on the video I made a little pocket for the machine to sit on otherwise it moves too much and the one part where you put the blade on is a little flimsy. I think he could’ve done something better but other than that, it works really good. I’m glad you enjoyed the video and if you can leave me a thumbs up.

@@buildingwithpapa Yes, I saw you saying to wipe the degreaser off with a damp cloth. I have a habit of wiping everything down with denatured alcohol before I paint. Is there any reason denatured would be a bad idea for removing degreaser residue, does it react with thermofoil?

My dash speakers make a static noise. No sound from the rear speakers. Radio has power. What could it be?
@buildingwithpapa3 ай бұрын
Thank you for your question. It could be the amplifier I was unsure of mine. My speakers would go in and out. They would work sometimes and not others. They would make some static noise and I found out it was the amplifier you need to remove the amplifier. follow the video numbers on the amplifier I showed in the video, and then you can one. But I’m 64 now and not as flexible.
