Did the lightstep attack get nerfed since this video? I just started GBFR recently and immediately picked up Sandalphon from the beginning, but as I've been pushing endgame, the lightstep attack doesn't appear to even be in the same order of magnitude of damage as my skills/melee combos.

@nephorium6160 Im pretty sure Winged Lightstep never got nerfed. It's been a while since I looked at the nunbers, but from memory, Lightstep has a pretty low damage multiplier so needs a good amount of damage sigils to cap.

This was a cool video. I appreciated the variety and change ups to each fight. It works! Next challenge is to, using this as a baseline, incorporate more casting rotations throughout. Where feasible, of course.

Thanks. FoF Lancelot is one of the safest characters and can ignore a lot of mechanics just by spamming heavy attack - though his damage is pretty low. In terms of light pollution, maybe its just cause ive fought him so much, but i find his attacks pretty clear. What can make things bad are all the attacks that teammates are spamming...

Yea, fair enough. I usually show builds in full fight vids, so it will be the same as the Charlotta vs Versa one. The gear there is outdated though since it was done before all the powercreep in the later versions.

Okay so the phase transition is actually a really well designed attack now that I've figured it out. That second AOE blast actually does have a telegraphed visual indicator on when you're supposed to dodge it. If you look at her arms, Metyr will actually raise her arms a few frames before the blast, so if you dodge forward when she raises her arms up, you should be golden. I've been able to get it consistently. Trust me I used to hate the phase transition.

I had no idea you could generate aggro by just healing in the vicinity of the boss, even if you don’t actually heal back any health. Noticed it during the Scadutree Avatar fight. Guess it’s a good way of getting aggro fast if you need to, and something I’m making a mental note of if I attempt anything like this myself.

This is the second comment I've seen that mentions no hitbox. Im assuming you are implying that I turned hitboxes off or something? Is this a thing going around recently? Why would anyone bother with that when it would be pretty obvious in the video? I'm curious what part of the fight makes you say no hitbox, cause this is just a stock standard Messmer fight.

I'm confused, why are you using the Erdtree Seal at lv 300, especially while using this build? Golden Order Seal greatly outperforms Erdtree seal and also gives a 10% boost to Golden Order incantations like all the rings of light spells. Excepting Multilayered Ring of Light. During your fight with Putrescence i couldn't help but facepalm since it would have been perfect. Dryleaf seal synergizes with it very well, since it ALSO boosts the same spells. You'd have to respec some stats into INT, but idk what the 60 STR/73 Dex/50 End is for anyways.

This wasn't intended to be a pure caster build. I like using melee weapons to add some variety hence the Str/Dex/End investment. Agreed that if I wanted to focus on casting only, I'd use Golden Order Seal and take some Int.
