Beautiful drive. It would be wonderful to also see some of the other lesser known side streets and cul-de-sacs in the area such as Running Hills, Highview, Sunset, Hilltop, etc.

Just browing and came across this. I was born in Mt. Arlington right up the road from Bertrands Island. Spent my time swimming,boating, skiing. My Dad still lived there until last year when he passed away. Wish I could go back in time , knowing what I know now. Thanks for the memories.

Sorry for the loss of your dad. I'm glad this video brought back some memories for you. On my KZbin channel I have a number of other videos from Mt. Arlington and surrounding area which may be of interest to you, too many to list here in the comments, but here are links to two of them... This video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5LGo3uPorZnjcU is a walk in Mt. Arlington, and this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iH7OY2SEpc2Xb6s is a drive along Lake Hopatcong's east shore where I drive onto and around Bertrand Island. Visit my channels home page to see the many others. Have a Happy New Year and thanks for watching.

4:47, if you turn right, takes you into my hometown, but more importantly, if my memory serves, puts you on a really scenic road up the hills worth a video of its own. Should you ever come here again, I highly recommend it.

I was feeling a bit homesick and searched on YT for a driving video in NJ, only hoping I could find one in the general area where Im from. I spent the entire first 5 minutes of this video absolutely GEEKING because I LIVED IN MT ARLINGTON!!! This is all my area, I live in western NY now and no ones ever even HEARD of Mt Arlington, I cant believe I found this video. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

I’m glad you found this video and it helped with your homesickness. I actually have a good number of driving and walking videos from Mount Arlington itself. (including 2 videos that are walks through Mt Arlington Park when the cherry blossoms are blooming. I also have many videos from the surrounding areas like Roxbury, Lake Hopatcong, Netcong, Stanhope and more. All these videos can be found on my KZbin Channel at: www.youtube.com/@markmillerstudios. The ridiculous background music is totally unnecessary and only distracts from your videos! LOSE the music and just record the natural sounds of the drive!
@markmillerstudios4 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment. Most of my driving videos are taken with a dash cam that is mounted on the inside of my windshield, so the original “natural” audio from those videos would be the conversations that me and my wife are having inside the car while traveling. That “conversation” audio is something I don’t think anyone would want to hear, nor would I want to post, which is why that original audio it’s replaced with music that KZbin allows. Music that is free from any copyright issues. While some of my videos do have “natural” sound, those videos are more labor intensive to capture and edit. They require mounting an action camera or two to the top of my car and running a wire and mounting a separate microphone to the rear of the car, where the microphone won’t pick up the wind noises that would occur from traveling 40+ MPH. Because of the extra labor involved, these “natural sound/ action cam” videos are done less often than the dash cam videos. And while many of my viewers have commented that they like the style of music I use in my dash cam videos I do realize that music tastes are subjective. My best suggestion to those who don’t like the music but still want to watch my videos would be to just turn down the volume on whatever device you are watching these videos on. Again, thanks for the comment, and for watching my videos, I hope my reply here helped you understand better on why some of my videos have background music. 🙂

@markmillerstudios I will say that the music is too loud. Of course, I have an easy fix of just lowering the volume myself..

@@markmillerstudios thank you! I will check out your program listing. DH&I moved our family from Hunterdon County to near Mammoth Cave, Kentucky in 1988. Our kids were 10 y.o., 6 y.o. twins, and a 5 month old. This area of Kentucky continues to remind us of Hunterdon County when we were growing up(very rural).
