Thank-you for interviewing Will Ackerman. His music and artists on Windham Hill label have always touched me and brought much peace. It is good to hear about his life & stories related to his music.

The music industry today is a mess and so very lackluster and disappointing! Luckily, the music left behind by Windham Hill will remain as the soundtrack of many lives. Too bad for anyone who can't appreciate it.

I grew up listening to Windham Hill CDs on repeat, as I dropped off to sleep, wrote stories, or drew pictures. I'm delighted to see this project getting off the ground. It will be such a joy to fans, and hopefully introduce new listeners to these timeless pieces. It's already such a pleasure to see the faces of some musicians I've known for years only by name.

Until I became ill with adrenal fatigue and had to embark on a lifestyle change, I did not comprehend that it is not what you play...it's what you don't play that matters. Windham Hill artists understand the meaning of "getting out of one's way". There is no ego involved, None. Whether the piece is relatively simple or rather involved, I never get the impression that the artist is trying to attract attention to oneself. The value of such music is inestimable.

Will influenced my life more then he will ever know. The 1986 broadcast of the concert live at ''Wolf Trap'' changed my life. My musical direction went from punk rock to experimental acoustic guitar. Such joy. Thank you, Will!

Will, I hadn't seen this one before. A lovely testimonial to what must have been a beautiful and yet uncomplicated ceremony! My wife and I were in Italy not too long ago but not in that area. Closest would have been Naples. Came across two videos recently that were most enjoyable. Both should bring back some memories: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qX_XlX-lopuricU , and kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y5eUk3ueoJenhtE. This song with Kenny is so beautiful. I immediately downloaded it from iTunes after listening. The parlor guitar is perfect for the song. Assuming that's the same one you got from Michael. I must add something else. An interview I read recently has you mentioning that you never listen to your own music. That fascinates me since, basically, I don't either. I wonder if it's not uncommon for artists in many different genres to not show much interest in their own work. Is it partly because so much time is invested in achieving the finished product that there's simply not much desire to return to it? Another aspect could be that - at least for me - upon listening to recorded pieces I usually hear things that I know I would have either corrected or done completely differently. Interesting, for sure. Hope all is well with you.

I am part of Generation Z, so I am quite young (I was actually in the womb when you won your last Grammy), yet I truly love your music. The story behind your Positano Songs album is absolutely beautiful and I firmly believe that this has been your best work yet. Best wishes for your future. Cheers! ❤️ P.S. I bought Positano Songs for my 83 year old grandmother last Christmas. She absolutely loves it and has listened to it while cruising in the car and relaxing at home. She has played this album at least 10 times already, yet she had never heard any of your music before this. Now, she's cheering you on, too! I must say I love the little book that comes with it...

Thanks so much Jan, James, Kristian and Franco ! Positano is still magical, but like all places over time, it has become so busy over so much of the year that the magic is somewhat less than nearly 40 years ago. That said, I'm sure it would seem like a bit of heaven to go see it. If you go, I'll let you know which restaurants to visit ! All my best, Will
