Admire your music and your style but what an uninspiring interview...was hoping to hear you like guitarists from other genres like Jeff Beck, David Gilmour etc...

Funny that she should mention John Gomm at the top. Not a name that everyone knows. Before she came up with a name, I thought of the range of guitarists I've been impressed with, and Jon Gomm's name sprung to mind first. I haven't even heard him or thought of him for quite a while, but he certainly is an influence. No one like him.

Interesting I would have picked the cello or piano. I can play a few simple pieces on piano. But I’ve only held a cello in my hands once years ago. Didn’t even attempt to play something. Silly me.

@Laura Snowden: I don't know how to put this the right way but...... what a beautiful person you are, not only by your looks but your youthful spontainity (is that correct English?) and artistic intelligence makes a deep impression on me. 🤗

Good teaching. Why can't every guitar teacher on KZbin teach like this? It's one thing to learn melody and notes but avoiding rhythm is a big mistake.
@SamuelMooreFlamencoMusic2 ай бұрын
Thank you! Really pleased that you are enjoying my content and 100% agree. Rhythm is the bedrock of good flamenco playing and needs much more focus than falsetas. I hope you enjoy my other videos.

Thank you. You are most welcome. Regarding Amazon, I never like to work through them as I've always felt that they take a very large cut for doing very little. As such, I prefer to keep everything in house via my own website.

I have so much trouble with Alegrias. It is not the procession of notes that is difficult for me, it is the bright happy nature of the palo. Ive always resonated with more meloncholic dark music. Seguirilla more my flavor. I can also corrupt a Bulerias and make it a real downer. I think it will be a challenge to darken Alegrias. It would become something else. Great video Sam
@SamuelMooreFlamencoMusic4 ай бұрын
I can relate to what you are saying hear. It took me a long time to really connect with Alegrias too as I also love the darker sounds present in flamenco. If this is something you are struggling with you may want to check out some of the beautiful Alegrias that have been performed in miner keys. This is a good example: kzbin.info/www/bejne/naGUiXmEZc-reNksi=pITjNAuQLoe8gjFp Maybe it will help you connect with the palo a bit more. It certainly helped me when I was first getting into flamenco in a deep way. Enjoy and thank you for watching.

@SamuelMooreFlamencoMusic4 ай бұрын
My pleasure. Both books that have come out in the series to date follow a similar format. Additionally, the series is designed so that you don't have to work with the books in a particular order With this in mind, which is best for you to start with very much depends on which palo you would like to work on. I hope that's helpful 👍
