It is about my hometown Southport which even in the late eighties had seen better days. Now it is even more in decline although still clinging on in challenging circumstances. Remarkably, tourism still brings in over £650 million a year. It is desolate in autumn and winter but still has a faded dignity about it in places.

I remember going to this concert with my ex, her best friend, her best friends mom, and her mom. I miss her so much and I miss this time period so much even though it was only about 6 months ago. I recorded cruel summer but not this. Thank you so much for uploading this. Truly.

@ saw him outdoors in Boca, it was so hot outside. He sang “let me kiss you” and tore his shirt off when he sang the line “you see someone, you physically despise!” And then sang the next song lying prone on the stage. He swore he was never coming back to that venue, and hasn’t, 😂

This was the direction Jimi Hendrix was going when he passed away. He had studio time set up with Gil Evans and orchestra but as far as I know nothing came to fruition. I really dig this.

Like #28; #678th view, 1 day after; posting; 3rd Comment. The feedback sound engineering at ~53 seconds was a surprise... The conductor was definitely having fun with this performance. Those rythm guitar riffs, especially from 8:45 all the way up to 11:08, along with Barry's picking at the pedal steel in tandem, were stellar. Thanks for catching and sharing these. 🎉 MB_Music1 - what model phone or camera were you using to video the performance? Did you have a spare 🔋 battery?

@elocrelleom8387 HUGE favor…if you’re going to Chicago show could you get a shirt for me? I bought one, had it on my shoulder the whole show. Got to the valet line & it was gone. Went back in through the sea of exiting people & couldn’t find it. Lost & found doesn’t have it. I can Venmo you the cost of the shirt, shipping and a little extra for the trouble. Bummed to have lost it.

1st comment; 5th 👍🏼 Like; View #172, 8 hours after posting. It sure is different. It seems the audience is a bit conflicted about whether to sing and yell and whistle like at a rock concert or to be reserved like a symphonic pops concert! Thanks for the steady hand and full song performance. 🎼 🎵 🎶 🎵

And that’s the beauty of this show. The audience response ranged from being reflectively quiet during Days Between to unleashing it’s full-on energy during Truckin’. So good! 🔥🎶💃

What a stellar performance. Listening to all of the little things that were within the different parts. It was amazing to realize that all of those little nuances had always been there. And that they had all been touched upon at one point or another, throughout the years. And that this was like the first that we got to hear all of the little parts and nuances at the same time. Since there were so many musicians, to be able to play them all at the same given moment... Jaw meet floor, smile cover face.
