never travelled on a 458/5 first class, but standard class is amazing! The SWT seats are the comfiest ive been on in the UK!

If you want to travel in First on a 450, just board a London suburban service. They are standard class throughout, including the first class seats. And clearly you've not been on a 225 set with either LNER or Transport for Wales as they have much better seats

Most easyjet flights do operate out of the North Terminal in Gatwick however there are a few that operate from the South Terminal. Unsually numbers starting with 8*** are North Terminal and numbers starting with 6*** are South Terminal.

Yes the voyagers get their critics for justified reasons, Onboard ( If it is not too full to get on one ) you have the following faults . Toilets in the vestibule smell stale of raw sewage not nice. The vestibule electric doors if you are on a line of passengers close on you if you are too slow ( The 175 & 180 are better as the same doors have an obstruction sensor so the door won’t close on you) . This info is from my experiences

While I can't comment on the smell, because it was the train's first service of the day hence it started at Birmingham, not Manchester, hence the toilet tanks would be empty before it left the depot for the day. As I waiting on the platform at Southampton Central for train to leave, I saw an older man go to get on but as he was reaching for the handrail on the train the door started to close

@JackJackProductions not much room in those 455s, they had 3+2 seating and the doors didn't open as wide as SWR's and no wheelchair spaces. They also kept the camshaft motors on them which were from old slam door trains. Those motors were about 90 years old when they retired.

Yeah, it does seem like the contract for seats on new British trains goes to the lowest bidder. I was on an ICE 3neo, introduced in late 2022, back in June and the seats are comfortable and feature modern amenities, like a phone holder

Yes, the route between Coleraine and Derry is Northern Ireland's most scenic railway. However the overall journey from Belfast is very long. A bus journey is fairly straight and takes less time. Sometimes, I take the train one direction and return by bus, variety is the spice of life.

@@JackJackProductions Not possible on the single track route. Anyway it's the indirect route which makes the journey time uncompetitive. If you want scenery you take the train, if time is more important, you go by road.

Actually, now I have had a look on Google Earth. I can see that is isn't the most direct route. Most business people travelling between Derry and Belfast will either get the coach or drive. Alternatively, they will sleep in a little and attend their meetings over Zoom

It would be more sensible to sit on the other side of the train, and avoid filming into the morning sun. You would also get a better view of the up platform and buildings opposite. However, you did get good footage of the healthy passenger numbers waiting to board at Portlaoise, Thurles and Charleville. Legroom on these Mk IV coaches, like most trains nowadays, is not great if you have to share with a passenger beside you, due to the body profile and heating radiators. Hope you enjoyed the trip and had a satisfactory onward journey.

Unfortunately, there was no perfect views in terms of no filming into the sun, getting a view of the up platform and building. I could have booked a priority seat however I wanted to show an average seat to show what the majority of people what to expect. Obviously First Class has wider seats and priority seats have more legroom for people with reduced mobility. As for my onward journey to Cork Airport and home, it was very good as you shall see in the flight review of my flight from Cork to London Heathrow

A narrow body in Heathrow sounds like a pure waste just from the word itself. Don't you think that for BA, it makes financial sense to move this route to some other airports in London?

Well for services like the Manchester, and the Newcastle, "shuttle" services they act as a feeder/ connecting service to. from BA's long haul network out of Heathrow. For the Scottish and Belfast shuttle, it is both a feeder service to/ from the long haul network and trains in the UK's trains are too slow, too unreliable, and too expensive so BA is a competitive option for business travellers

Great video! I rode the Schwebebahn only once, in 1978, when I was six years old, but I still remember it now!! The cars were older but they were very similar and the stations were much darker with less glass but it was very much the same!

The system was modernised in the 2010s. This was when the Health & Safety people said hallo. But the trains on the Schwebebahn started to needed to be replaced having been in service since 1972. However that being said 2 lines on London's Underground network have stock from the 1970s. The Bakerloo line with the 1972 stock and the Piccadilly line with the, slightly newer, 1973 stock

I only flew with them on long-haul flights over the Atlantic, but no, today 's Swiss feels more like a budget airliner than like a first tier one. The space between the seats was very limited , the food was so-so and their airplanes are old. I guess Lufthansa does not want Swiss to compete against them.

While I haven't flown Swiss long-haul, yet, I do have to agree with you on the fact that Swiss feels like a budget airline now. But Swiss are renewing their fleet with the Airbus A220, A320neo, and A321neo for the short haul routes and lower demand medium haul routes and the Boeing 777 for long haul routes. Swiss has just begun to refurbish their A330s as the A330s are in need of a refurb
