i found hiveblood genuinely useful and worth it in the NKG fight

Deep focus is actually really good, but only when combined with shape of un and quick focus. But when you do use the combo if you can get enough hits in on a boss or enemy your pretty much invincible.

For me, core is my least favorite chapter bc dashes become more obscure and there isnt much story

I’m currently in the process of doing a randomizer, and I managed to get Kingsoul for 3 notches- it’s crazy how just a cheaper version took it from D tier to S (in my opinion)

I know I'm a few years late, but baldur's shell i find very useful mainly when fighting bosses in radiant, just making sure i can tank that extra hit.

Never understood the sprintmaster or dashmaster slander. Sprintmaster is actually so nice in fights like pure vessel where you might wanna move quicker but don’t want to waste your shade cloak

And I _did_ try jumping in the direction that the birds were going in, but because there was no feedback _at all_ that I was doing it right or wrong, I gave up. I hate this stuff.

3:13 I noticed both the statues, _and_ the fact that the background is built like it's climbamle. So I spent like 10 minutes in the room trying everything. Sitting inside the white block, dashing down into the block, stuff like that. But waiting 3 seconds, crouched, and on top of it, _never_ would have occurred to me, as there is literally _no_ feedback _at all_ that I'm doing it right. I *fucking despise* game design like this.

Defender's crest helped me so much in hornet 2 since the smallest of ticks of damage add up after hornet dash into u so much haha.

Dreamshield was a mainstay in my playthrough. I think, for me, the idea of passive damage and defense was too much to pass up -- especially traversing new zones and dealing with multiple enemies. I paired it with the stinky charm, and it was this lil aoe fest around me. I did take it off from time to time in situations, as sometimes I required a different strategy, but honestly, it's joyful to walk through certain places and just have it smack things and have them blow up as you walk by xD

Defenders crest is pretty useful when you do not want to fight a boss when you want to get a bench in the crystal Peak, I forgot the name of the boss, but still the boss takes damage from defenders crest crest without starting the fight

But it’s grimmchild and I like him he keeps me company 🙂

There's something painful about the low difficulty ranking on bosses that I still regularly die against (which is almost all of them)

Spore Shroom is actually incredibly useful for the Broken Vessel / Lost Kin, or just healing in a place like the Soul Sanctum. The infection spawns/follies get shredded by it when they'd ordinarily have a rewsonable chance of ruining your heal windows. I suppose you find it to just be outclassed by the crest? Also, finding soul in the Path of Pain is as easy as it gets. You practically have an unlimited supply

all of the build options you told us about til minute 1:19 are great, but my personal favorite is "getting my ass beat up build", which is great for ppl who just suck at fighting, like myself. I usually go for some combination of dashmaster, grubsong, unbreakable heart, thorns of agony, quick focus, sharp shadow, dream wielder, shape of unn, dreamshield and baldur shell!
