Thanks, this was very useful. I've owned a vinyl liner pool for over 20years. I developed a excel spreadsheet to enter my chemistry readings weekly and simply learned with simple formulas and experience what to do each week, but this made since. I think the main thing I took away was "not fighting it" I.E. opening my parameters a but and not panicing each time my pH tipped over 7.6. As well as understanding the relationship between alky and pH. Thanks again. Would love to see you address Cal-hardness specific to vinyl liner pools. thanks

@OrendaTechnologies20 күн бұрын

I've been having trouble keeping pH near 7.5 forever. I can effectively contain the levels by adjusting alkalinity? Is that the most effective method for my salt pool?

Saludos Javier Cardozo
@OrendaTechnologies20 күн бұрын

Could you use it as a spray for the spots above the tile line?
@OrendaTechnologiesАй бұрын
You could try that. The problem is that the product has a slow dissolving effect, given that is not acidic. So the trick is to have the treated area in constant contact with the water/SC-1000

Muriatic Acid instantly removes calcium carbonate as well. The big issue most in ground pool owners/pool technicians have is removing calcium silicate. So far the only real way to remove it is by bead/soda blast or pumice stone......

I have a salt pool with an autocover. I test my water every few days. I’m always chasing the PH and TA. I’m glad I watched this episode because now I know why my PH will be 7.8 one day and the next time I test it’s at 7.6. I still don’t quite understand why my TA goes up sometimes 10ppm. I guess I need to do some more reading about Henry’s law. Thanks, for the podcast it really helps us pool owners who are trying to maintain our pools!

I added PR-10000 to my pool a few days ago to see if it would clear my cloudy pool. My phosphate level was at 290 ppb. I added 4oz for 20000 gallon pool and the next morning my pool was crystal clear. The next day I had the phospate level retested and it was now at 228 ppb. My CYA is high at 190 and TDS also high at 3900. I would of thought that the 4oz would have brought it closer to zero. My filter has been running 24/7 since I started. Am I incorrect in my expected outcome or is the product still working and I tested to soon?

This was a great and informative podcast! Thank you for posting it. I have been wrestling with this identical calcium crystal situation for a while now and recently d/l the Orenda app to try to help me but I am not having much luck 😞 The 16,000 gallon pool specifics are: pH trying to keep it below 8, Calcium 600 (I know - we are in Nevada) TotAlkalinty 180, CYA 60, totalCL 5, FreeCL 1. Salt 3400 (as recommended by CMP Powerclean salt cell). I did add 30 lbs of boric acid but that has not seemed to help much. I am not sure how best to proceed so any suggestions or advice would be most welcome! Cheers!

@OrendaTechnologies2 ай бұрын
Hola!

@OrendaTechnologies3 ай бұрын

I am surprised Orenda had to make a dishonest video to prove their point. You poured a full container in one spot rapidly in the "column" pour, and then you poured 1/2 container slowly in a large circle in the "Diluted" pour. The outcome is obvious. Why would I trust any of Orenda's video's after seeing this?
