Doh! Regardless of the swatch, the top looks fantastic. The white one looks really loose anyway however I prefer a bit tighter like the pattern. I would have done the same thing. Reduce needle size and reduce some stitches under arm. Should be fine! I need some summer projects. I’ll look this up.

Good evening Thank you for the useful explanation I need if you can help me to make a knitted dress for my 5-year-old granddaughter using Fair Isle But I can't read the pattern and I'm not interested because I won't do this job professionally it's just a hobby Because I will start from the top and when I make a sweater or jacket or dress for my granddaughters I start from the top and divide using the men's method but I need to know how to work incrementally in this method and I am restricted to a specific pattern and a number that depends on the pattern So is it possible for you to help me? I will be grateful and thankful to you

Hi, We are very happy to help you if you can come into our store. If you're not close to us, it would be better if you can visit a yarn store close to you so they can help you work out just what you need. Good luck!

Looks great! I had a quick squizzy at the pattern on Ravelry, and the pattern suggested to use worsted 10 ply wool. Did you use different size needles for yours and also it does not state (without buying the pattern) what the recommended positive ease is. The photo on Ravelry is a lot more fitted around the neckline. I'm trying to decide if it's for me. Many thanks.

Thanks so much for a clear tutorial. I appreciate your using light colored yarn (it's so much easier for the viewer to see) and continental style knitting. I am a continental style knitter as well and it's so much easier for me to learn a technique when the demonstrator uses the continental style also.

Question. Even though each round has the next color moved to the right by three stitches, does the BOR remain unchanged?
@SkeinSisters2 ай бұрын
Absolutely. The BOR just stays in exactly the same place and it's just the yarns that move positions.
@bs30092 ай бұрын
Hi ! Thanks. Very well done ! could you give the sweater a difficulty rate ? Which size did you knit ? It would be helpfil to know.
@SkeinSisters2 ай бұрын
@@bs3009 thank you! I made the Medium size. I would give it a 4/5 for difficulty, mainly because you have four huge charts to follow across each row and the pattern is not at all intuitive so you have to carefully follow each chart. The techniques themselves are not tricky though
@bs30092 ай бұрын

I agree that the patterns need to use colours that are strong contrasts because it’s just easier to see. Also err on the larger size rather than packing all the graph patterns on the one page. Love the pattern and the colours. I started colour work knitting last year and it’s been so rewarding to do especially if the colours just go well together.
@SkeinSisters2 ай бұрын
I totally agree! When I worked in magazines (20 years ago!) I used to roll my eyes at readers who asked us not to use too small a font, and now I'm at that age where I completely get it!!!
