Rodrigo! Most excellent edit, and scripting...I'm leaving Sept 6 for the Banda Sea aboard the Arenui for 12 days....my fourth visit. Our trip begins out of Komodo now instead of Maumere due to volcanic activity and restricted flight zones...After seeing your film I'm really looking forward to a day in Komodo! Thank you

Nice review. Thanks. What's the weight undewater? User manuals report same weght for 5.5 and 7" monitor which is strange. 500g is a lot and I'm afraid the whole kit will loose it's trim. Did Kraken solved that problems with a fw upgrade? The inner monitor seems to be a commercial Feelworld. Thanks

You captured that one nicely Rodriego...love the abundance of hunting octopus on the Cozumel night dives at Paradise and Yucab.

Thanks Blane. I believe this was in Yucab! Agree... I prefer the night dives to the day dives in Cozumel!

Great film, Rodrigo!! I dove with someone in Koh Phi Phi, Thailand who lived in Komodo. Now I can see what he was telling me about. I would love to visit one day. Hopefully visitors to the area can provide economic benefits and incentives for the residents of Komodo to help with conservation efforts.
@AquaticRod7 ай бұрын
Many thanks Mel! I would say that Komodo is getting a bit crowded for my liking. The Government of Indonesia also has big plans for the area, which can only mean more tourist traffic. I went 10 years ago, and last year, and I can already see the difference.

You mentioned that brightness is comparable to Shinobi but that is rated to 1000nits while Kraken is rated at 3000nits. Could you elaborate on differences in image quality between these two?
@AquaticRod8 ай бұрын
Hi @RomanKasan. I was comparing to the Shinobi 7, which is 2200 nits. I should have specified that I was referring to that specific model. I think the Kraken's 3000 nits underwater look similar to the Shinobi 7's 2200 topside. That said, I never user either one of them at full brightness...
