I got this and was immediately disappointed. It looked like it was tossed off a moving train .Inside the trashed box I found chips of missing paint or paint rubbed off yellow onto the grey parts. Box was trashed and looked like a return. Had to use a rubber mallet and at one point my hi lift jack to take the upper ladder/rungs off. I think I got a refurb of a better product

Reports from workers is that the rubber grommets on the planks come off & allow the planks to slide as you get on or off. Remove these grommets, apply plenty of glue & reinstall the grommets. Problem Solved. !

Would’ve been nice to show installing the guard rail system. Am I correct in assuming that if you have the guard rail system in place you can then place another scaffolding frame while keeping the guard rail in place? I hope so cause I just ordered a set, and I find it very nerve-racking, putting in another frame without having a guard rail.

Hi. It is recommended to use mending plates at each splice. What is a mending plate? And I don’t see them used in this video. Thank you.

Hi, thank you for your question. In fact, we do not see the mending plate in this video. They are not mandatory, but they are recommended. A mending plate is a flat metal connector used to reinforce the wood joints. There are a few holes to install screws or nails to joint the wood 2 by 4.

How close can actually get to, say, the outside of a house, if you have 36" outriggers. I wouldn't be able to reach whatever I needed to do that high up. What am I missing here?

When a scaffold is positioned against a wall, you do not need to put outriggers facing the wall, because the wall can hold the scaffold tower, Metaltech 46" outriggers can be rotated at an angle of 45°. So they are parallel to the wall. For 14" outriggers, you must manually place them at 45 degrees. See instructions here: www.metaltech.co/product/set-of-46-universal-outriggers-with-casters/

I own a complete 3-tier set and couldn't be happier. They have a platform that allows you to go up a tier from the inside. I have that also. They have two different size outriggers, I have both. They have threaded levelers. I purchased mine through Northern Tool Company. I hate ladders, and this is a great solution.

Don't know if this is normal, but the frame has areas where the enamel is chipped off from banging together. A lot of tie wraps attaching parts to each other. Seemed to be partly assembled, which tells me Home Hardware sent me something that was returned...

I will say its an acceptable product and Im putting it to use but I do think I got a refurb of a better product
