John for anyone that didn't get it John in the Movie is not an Angel John in the Movie is most like Jesus He raises the dead takes away ppl's evil and in the end is Murdered for being Himself. When you watch the movie you will now never not see what was intended

I have a sad theory and this is about John Coffey. We know that he didn’t kill those two children and actually tried to save their lives but the parents may have blamed him for their daughter’s deaths for a very sinister reason. See the events took place during the 1930s which was when segregation was still practiced in the United States. Unfortunately in that period a common racist stereotype that racists used to justify segregation and lynchings was that African American men would sexually assault white women. Of course this wasn’t true but it unfortunately got countless innocent African American people killed. It is unfortunately possible that the parents who were racist themselves blamed John for their daughter’s deaths due to him posing as an easy scapegoat because he was African American. If true then it would mean that they were monsters due to them blaming an innocent man of murder just because of the color of his skin. Another sad theroy that I have is that one of the reasons why John Coffey saw his execution as an act of mercy was because he knew that there were people who hated him just because of his skin color and he was unable to live in a world with such hate and bigotry. If true it would be very sad for obvious reasons.

Fact: this movie was actually based on a true story. In 1944, two girls were found dead in their house, and the cops thought it was done by a black beggar kid, so they took him to jail and executed him without even a trial. 40 years later he was found innocent.

George stinney Jr was his name. The problem is that he was the last to see them. Just like Coffey wrong place wrong time. He was given a trial but no lawyer and an all white jury took less than 10 minutes to deliberate a guilty verdict. Executed within months
