We rescued an older dashound several months ago. She has bonded more with my husband and will bite me if she thinks I'm going to move her away from him. She recently has started to try to bite him when he kisses me goodbye.

Very helpful thank you. My dog protects me because he was with me in the hardest and most vulnerable period of my life (15-18) and when my brother would come in my room and hit me. I thought it was great because he would stop the hitting and he protected me but now when I go in public to a park or beach for example and lay a towel out, he perceives it as our territory so anyone that walks past he barks. He isn’t biting aggressive but he will harrass someone and lunge bark bark lunge until they leave and it’s really embarrassing. He’s a small dog

This was very interesting to watch as someone who works in a vaccination clinic in North America because I did not even think about AU not having rabies as a common thing.

This was a very disappointing video! A lot of theorizing blah blah. At NO POINT did you actually teach HOW TO STOP territorial behavior!
@demodisc52293 ай бұрын
He does though. Watch 11:55 onwards. He says you need to give you dog something to do instead of telling them to just stop. You need to correct/ interrupt the bad behavior

my dog is an expat since ive moved from the u.s to peru and have been living here for 3 years. he has also traveled on road trips in the u.s to various states. for him the airport was the biggest challenge that we had to train for and dont get me started on the department of agriculture paperwork. it took some getting used to but now he loves peru and loves seeing his stray dog friends on walks.

I would like to hear your input on a farm dog who roams the property but is aggressive to stangers or even neighbors that come to the farm. When a dog is protecting the farm you want them to be aggressive to other dogs or predators, even when the owner is away. So how can someone trust they are not going to attack strangers that arrive when you are not home? Also, when you attempt to grab a dog to take them away from the situation or tie them up, what about if the dog attempts to bite you?

My Sadie loved her van and it was Her van, now I'm shocked about my big puppy being afraid of a van, taking him to the vet was anxiety ridden for him even though I was taking a nap trying to calm him, it wasn't fun getting him back in the van, he's a very different dog for me!! I have to work on this in backyard.😅

My dog hates riding in my car. He gets very scared. He whines & drolls. Sometimes he gets sick & always poops. I have tried all the tips given to me & I have watched & read everything I can to improve his behavior. Nothing works. It breaks my heart that I can't take him with me anywhere.

I arrested my Giant Schnauzers osteosarcoma in 2022 by feeding raw hamburger and raw chicken with bones in every day , this protocol is 7 days a week multivitamin, 880mgs Fenbendazole pure from vet compounding pharmacy per day, 8mgs of 1% Ivermectin liquid for animals which is 8/10ths of one CC which is .021 ml/cc per Kg. LDN 2.5mgs from compounding pharmacy , 2-Cimetidine x 3 times a day , one Loratidine x 1 per day , Benadryl x 1 per day and 200mgs melatonin per day , I'm going to look into artemisinin read about it for 7 years never needed it , she (giant schnauzer) has perfect blood work and is thriving no lung problems and C reactive protein is normal started this as soon as I found broken toe nail took three months to arrest this post is June 2024 How am I able to cure osteosarcoma but a doctor can't they just want to amputate which will give you about 2-3 months ,really about a week before they start going down hill waste of money and very archaic for the dog sad this is all the vets are taught and know and chemo therapy is not well tolerated in dogs chemo kills healthy cells which release glucose which speeds up the cancer pathogen by giving more food glucose and Immunotherapy doesn't work either vets don't care they want to clean your wallet out and prey on your love for your dog

Are there any tests done say using urine strips if the dogs on Ketona food are producing ketones and using fat burning for energy as humans on keto diet do?

It is not natural to give a dog Kibble no matter how nutritious it is just you imagine eating a bowl of dry biscuits at every meal for the whole of your life there is no pleasure or anticipation so the digestive processes will be impaired apart from that it should be a pleasure to give your dog a meal that is natural and enjoyable it will be good for both of you

Yeah, this guy has just rehashed Jan Fennell’s Dog Listener system…..I was trained by Jan some years ago and it is so obvious this guy has just copied her system. He even has it structured exactly the same as Jan’s. But, he just can’t put it across like he really developed it from scratch. Jan was on regional BBC programs doing this in the UK before this Dog Dan left the UK and relocated to NZ, where he suddenly evolved into Dan the Dog, or whatever he calls himself…..why on earth can’t these people be honest and admit they’re using Jan’s system???

Question , what kind of parasite can be found in a cats claw… the reason I ask is because my cat jumped up and attacked my leg because I wouldn’t open the door to let her out… that being said, one of her claws dug deep into back of my knee in soft tissue and about 8 months later I began feeling something in that same area moving around ! Doctor brushes it off but I know I need to find out what it could be to rid myself of this before it multiplies or crawls into my abdomen…! Please let me know what it might possibly be.

Excellent information! The really hard part is getting a person who doesn't want to yank, shout at, or hit the dog if the first attempt fails, and consistently, kindly approaches the them. People are either too impatient or bought into the dominance theory.
