Islam seems to be a lot more simple than Christianity. I’m currently trying to figure out my religious beliefs and identity. As I Muslim, I found this very informative and well presented. But I got few concerns regarding the content. 1. We don't view Shia & Sunni as equal denominations. Hence, we don't treat the belief of Shia as representation of religion. Much like we wouldn't use expelled student's behaviour to describe teaching of the school. 2. You shouldn't use picture of an "eye" or picture of anything to represent Allah almighty. As believing that appearance of Allah can not be depicted by human is one of the most important belief in the religion. 3. Regarding of Islamic denomination, as I mentioned that Shia & Sunni isn't equal in representation of Islam. But as the video did mention certain school of thought which contains of 4 branches. In Islam, there are certain things that religion is not allowed anyone to have alternative opinions on. Mostly are teaching related with creeds or Islamic beliefs (Aqidah). These are things that were explained by the Prophet, and anyone who's not believe accordingly is putting himself into of losing Islam. And will be considered non-believer if one insist to believe so after it was explained to him. On the other hand, there are things that Islam allows to have different opinions in, mostly regarding with Act of worships. That's where these Schools of thought come. So having school of thought doesn't equal having different denomination in the Islamic view. Other than that, this video did a great job.
