This guy performed live at the Apollo in Harlem. He walked out to a crowd that was booing and laughing at him. Then he started to sing. The crowd changed and everyone there started cheering him. It was really amazing! Great television, wish there was a clip of it on KZbin.

Holy crap! I remember that! Even my mom was like "Who in the Hell is this guy!?" When he started singing, everyone stood up and started cheering.

Floyd you have an incredible voice and those eyes will melt anyone. You did not take first place at the "APPOLO'' but you did take second place which is quite an accomplishment considering there were hundreds of contestants. You stole the hearts of everyone in that audience. Don't quit now.

100% Golden Canary from New Orleans..Floyd Bergeron!!! As a kid I was afraid of his voice! This video captures his truly incredible voice but It doesn't convey is his unbelievable power.......I kid you not!....Camille.....Betsy? I say BERGERON!!!! Lache pas a patate Floyd!!
