The video doesn't show what to set the dilution ratio to on the Ensure Touch. This is a required parameter on the product sampling menu screen for the device. 1mL of sample liquid at a 10% dilution would be 1:10, yes?

Hi, I'm a customer who intends to apply this instrument for detection of microbes (Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Bacillus subtilis) within my solid sample. Is detection specific for E.coli or can I use this instrument to also detect the aforementioned microbes?

Hello! MicroSnap Coliform & E. coli are specific for those organisms. You'd be able to detect Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Bacillus subtilis with MicroSnap total (equivalent to a total plate count method). However, MS total also detects other aerobic organisms so you won't be able to discriminate your results by species.

Directions state "Caution". I would retest with a more sensitive test such as SensiStrip to compare.

yes yes, we're all here because of gordon ramsay and the cursed shower curtain or carpet pooping lady, but i'm kinda curious how you'd translate the results to surfaces that aren't for preparing food... like if you swabbed a kid's hands, or your home's doorknob, or any other surface people don't routinely clean at home, what would the result be?

since this measures the amount of biological organisms on a given surface, it would probably give a very high reading if those surfaces are "dirty". Presence of micro organisms don't always mean bad though
